Yep, the new screen is great. Really clear graphics and it looks better IMO.

Yes, 2019 cars still need 6 month / 6,000 mile servicing!

It’s Kia ensuring that there are no issues with their halo car. I’ve always though new oil every 10k miles minimum is important in any car, so happy to do it every 6k miles.

Kia offer a package - 3 years servicing (6 services) for £1000. Not bad considering the large bi-turbo engine.

Also, it helps support the 7-year warranty, so I’m happy to pay that.

The 2019 exhaust has been updated to sound rather better and liberate the V6. The previous UK cars had an (artificially muted?) exhaust.

Mine is sufficiently loud that I have turned off the sound enhancement completely. But, it’s a cultured loud and sounds fabulous!
That servicing is good value. Bit of a pain needing to turn up every 6 months however.

Agreed. First one next week as the car was registered 1st March.

Tempted by one of these.

They are competitively priced in Oz.

That American Telluride thing is nice looking as well. And the i30N.

Koreans/Kia on a bit of a roll.

Lovely car OP, these are so rare only seen two actually on the road and one in my local petrol station where I had a great chat with the fella. He a red one and and was really happy with it

Only thing I'd say is the wheels look a tad too small? I think an inch bigger and a concave design would really suit the lines. I am in a new 'should have gone to spec savers' civic and feel the same!

Thanks, yes the rarity factor is nice. Lots of people stare as if to say, “what’s that?”

The wheels are 19s. I agree 20s would look better, but buying 20” rubber is probably to be avoided ££££ ! 19s are pricey enough after years buying 18s.

I passed a kia dealer yesterday and sat in one with the salesman explaining stuff. Great seats. Standard spec is crazy - pano roof, lane assist, adaptive cruise, 360 degree birdseye parking camera, 4 heated seats, fronts cooled, heated wheel, HK stereo, and the car and the Brembos look ace. Fake bonnet vent fail but other than that... Definite contender next time smile

Saw one of these on the roads yesterday in yellow! I really do like them, has to be said. I'll be looking at them when the 5 series needs replacing.

I was following one of these on an Autobahn, it certainly took off well when we came to the derestricted parts. Unsurprisingly, my Golf TDI was well outgunned. It was fun playing catch up though biggrin

Do the 2019 cars still need serviced every 6 months/6000 miles?

Glad Kia did away with the old infotainment screen and stuck in that newer one that the American's got. The old one made the cabin look... old. New one much sleeker with the flush screen. Old for reference
So are the dash pictures on the Kia UK site the old screen?

Yes, that’s the old screen. This is the new screen from 2019:

I guess with the service package it's not too bad, and it keeps that awesome warranty intact.

Must have a look on YouTube at the exhaust changes. I believe Kia also altered the auto gearbox so it doesn't go straight back into auto mode if you don't touch the paddles for a bit when doing the gears yourself. I remember seeing that was a common complaint on the owners forum.

I hadn't realised that the services were every six months as well as 6k miles. That could be a bit of a worry if they were expensive services every 6 months, but the service package makes it pretty much the same cost in total as servicing just about anything else, just spread out over more individual services. My wife works 1/2 mile from our local Kia dealer so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle for us. It would also mean I wouldn't have to restrict my annual mileage to 6k a year like I thought I would, so I could use it a bit more as well, although with my 15k a year commute I think I'll still be using my diesel Accord most of the time and could keep the Stinger for best. Now I just need all you current owners so all decide you don't want them anymore and flood the market with them so the prices drop to 15-20k, at the moment it seems like your all hoarding them and the prices just aren't budging!

Spot on, in Sports and Sports +, the gearbox now stays in manual once set, and no longer reverts back to auto after 7-10 seconds.

A huge improvement and, yes, a quick response to the motoring media.

Always liked these!

They definitely stand out from the norm, and in a good way.

Love the colour!

I had a 2.0 litre version as a hire car in NZ - it was a lovely car (even though I would have liked the V6!) - and yes the ‘box reverting to automatic when I was using the paddles was annoying. One thing I did find was that in normal mode it was a little under damped to the point of floatiness, but sport mode tightended it up -unfortunately then the throttle was too snatchy in sport for town driving so I was flicking between the two modes a bit. Apart from that it was a joy to drive and the attention it got was incredible.

Appreciate all the positive comments guys!

Just the drive to work this morning had me grinning. And that was in Eco mode.

Had a quick dash in Sport on the Mendips yesterday. Wow, almost too quick for the road! A completely different car - transformed by the flick of a switch.

Good job it has strong brakes!
