Tank now fitted and water circulating as it should, hopefully going to paint first week of Feb.

Just scratching around doing any odd jobs I can really to move the job on.

Car is now at paint shop, will get some photos later today and try and document paint process.

So as I think I said earlier, Im doing this one kind of out of sequence as in leaving the engine and all running gear in situ for the moment anyway, once back from paint I will strip off all suspension and subframes and powder coat.

I have tried best I can to mask interior and keep clean as thats finished basically.

In order to push the job along as fast as we can I offered my services yesterday and rubbed down the roof to bare metal ........ what a **** job that is.

Are you even vaguely tempted to make it road legal at some point, or happy to have it as a track toy only? I think I'd rather enjoy confusing people with this on the road!

It came with a log book, so yes although its primarily a track car I will make it road legal just for a bit of fun.

Prepared the doors today, thankfully didn't need to go back to metal totally.

At long last some real progress ......
So for those that don't know, some parts of the car have to go back to bare metal and some are ok.
The bare metal bits then need an etching primmer, the arches and other rough bits a filler primmer, and then the whole lot a normal primmer, all of which can be laid on over each other.

Starting to look like a real car now and you can really see the shape of the extra wide body kit ....

Have to leave for couple of days no before we can rub down for top coats.

So finally the car is now half painted, its currently all Rootes Polar White, plan to paint the Orange bits middle of next week.
