This is the place to continue your RC threads SJim. Best leave the MB nuts to simmer for a while after the scorched earth policies on the forum. trevalvole said:

Over the last year it covered 16,000miles at 21mpg. I get 17 to 22 depending on use.
That makes me feel better, i'm getting about 22-23mpg on average. Though I suspect i'm on bigger 'A' roads more often than you...Timbo_S2 said:

A few noisy idiots with time on their hands, a keyboard each and absolutely no sense of proportion ruining everything with their pig-headed, myopic self-righteousness. And I am not talking about the Board.
I am back in the Estate Car, MOT having been scraped through, and I am loving 32mpg. Unfortunately the heating oil is running low.

I suspect I drive it a bit faster than it would like. I tend to be in the 80 to 90 range when on proper roads, more if it is quiet. As you will know, mpg plummets once the G-wagen's adamantine resistance to wind and leaden drag become factors. The OM642, which is such a rocket motor in other applications is a bit inadequate here, I feel.
I suspect you do; i'm striaght onto an average speed controlled A road; which forces most journeys to at least begin / end fairly effieicntly... Unless i'm towing the race trailer then all bets are off!Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
