Hey guys

Went back down today for a visual, the car is looking fantastic,
The calipers have been fitted back on the car along with new discs and pads.

New OEM windscreen fitted along with the rear OEM windows.

I also managed to Get a better pic of the engine bay... And realised that the suspension mounts were still silver, so they are being painted satin black to blend into the engine bay.

Next up on The list is for the paint to be compound polished and then all the remaining trims can go back on.

I love a blacked out badge, but keeping them chrome makes it look much more like a factory special.

Callipers will really pop behind those wheels, top choice smile
Absolutely agree with this - looking superb.

I can't take all the credit guys. its the team at Golding Barn Garage that's done the work so far.

And they have been amazing... the attention to detail in everything they have done is incredible.

My part has only been the colour choices, wheels, brakes etc

Are the centre caps on the wheels changeable? Would look superbly oem if they have Mercs badges.

Totally agree..Yes they are, I've bought a new set from MB, however, i don't know for certain if they will fit yet, But I'm sure I'll find a way to fit them.

That's cool fella, thanks for sharing the project. I'll be honest, i didn't even know that thread was on here, piston heads is such a vast size with so many forums its hard seeing everything that goes on.

I'll enjoy having a good read through that onebeer

What an amazing thing! Love the wide arch and love the color too, really works.

I'd agree with keeping the chrome and looking for some Merc wheel caps.

Not too sure on the green engine, but hey as long as you love it, that's all that matters.

Hey buddy, nice car.. Fire Opel red?, no too many if them about, I did infact consider doing the car red untill I found the right green. It's amazing How the slightest differences in shades can alter the overall look of the car

Thanks got the interest... I've not had much from other 507 owners. They are probably screeming at the pics with rage!!!!

The engine looks much better when you see it with the rest of the car. I wasn't sure at first, and then thought sod it. It's not visible to anyone else, and its only plastics that can be reversed back to oem.

Almost done.... we still have some bits to do.
wheel alignment, final trims, side decals and wing badges etc.

Can't wait to see the car, but collection has now been delayed till next weekend due to severe adverse weather and I don't want to get it dirty!!!!

will post some pics soon but it seems the server won't allow the uploads???
