Thanks dude..
Yes the side stripes are going back on.. but I've had to have the OEM decals used as a template and re cut in OEM Mactac pro 900 as they are too short for the HUGE archesbiggrin

Went down again today to drop off some parts and have a look at the car sitting on its new wide wheels.. Think it looks mental wide. Wee are only 5days in and still have a very long way to go yet. I'll keep you all updated with progress, pretty sure they are stripping the car next week and taking all the glass out., fitting some new rear discs and pads, and returning the calipers.

Thanks again for all the interest

Ok,we have some more progress picsbiggrin

I've been asked by a lot of people about the inner arches and if they are sealed correctly to stop rusting and getting road salt and grime between them.
The arches have been primed, sealed and bonded together to stop any crap getting between the new and old, then a the final top coat goes over this, they are then lined with new arch liners to completely close them off

They fitted the new wheels on and road tested the car to make sure the ride height was correct and there was no rubbing on the new arches.
This is how she sits now

The pics of the car before primer has the new 11x19 et 30 wheels

The last pic of the car in primer has the original 507 wheels on, they are only 9 x 19 et 54 , so they look completely lost in the new arches.

A little update regarding suspension guys.

I ordered a set of KW V3 Coilovers on the 6th Jan to ensure the car was sitting correctly on the new wheels and to make sure we had no clearance issues, I was told by the supplier that it would be around 2-3 weeks for delivery so expected these by the end of Feb, but with no further updates from KW, I contacted the supplier and was told that the order had been delayed till the end of Feb until they would be able to make the kits, so delivery would be begging of March. Unhappy by this we decided to test drive the car with the new wheels on Stock suspension.
To my delight the car sits perfectly with no clearance issues, and the ride seems to feel better than it did with the stock wheels, this may be due to having I higher side wall on the tyre, back in contact with the supplier, they have agreed that as the order has not yet been made I've opted to get a refund and stick with My OEM suspension.

This pic shows how the car actually sits, and TBH I didn't want the car any lower than this anyway
.

Seeing as such bad weather was forecast for this weekend I went to bodyshop on Friday to collect all the exterior plastic trims from the car so I could give them a clean and get them coated before going back on the car... Its taken me an entire day all the plastic from the bumper alone, I truly didn't realise how long this would take, and after 2 hours had begun to wonder if it was all worth it.

Finally finished, they are now complete with 2 coats of SI02 based coating and look like brand new again and ready for re fitting. Despite the long process of doing this its actually been very relaxing.

Now looking forward to the week ahead, cant wait to see the progress by the end of the week.. Fingers crossed the car should be in full primer, possibly base coat.

Tbh, i didn't realise how much work and time goes into a project like this
The guys at Golding barn are so meticulous about everything. When they gave me the total costs for this i almost pulled out, but seeing how much effort it takes to get something like this done to such a high standard i can see how they justify the costs.

As said they still have a way to go yet, and then it will be going off to be ceramic coated to help keep this looking new.

TBH fella, I'm having a full car strip with a 3 stage pearl and a ceramic clearcoat so the cost has gone up due to that, they are also refurbing my brake calipers too, so far with the kit and paint circa £11k
