Seems i have been rather lax in my threads in the Readers cars section as of late, choosing to post all about my BMW advertures on the Cliosport forum instead for some reason hehe However, having owned a fair few e9*'s now (e91 320i, e90 M3, e92 330d, e90 330i, e91 325i, e91 335d & e90 335i), this is probably the one ive been looking for for years, so thought id share it with PH beer

Car wise, its pretty rare to begin with, so a Space grey '58 plate LCI, 335i touring auto with the N54 engine. Options wise its got oyster leather (my fave, wanted this interior for years), CIC navigation, panoramic roof (that actually works), heated seats, folding mirrors and adaptive xenons with high beam assistant. It doesnt have a combox, front parking sensors or upgraded audio, but i will retrofit all of those at some point in the future i am sure (have done iDrive/bluetooth/combox/electric mirror retrofits to my 330i and 335i). I've always wanted to have a go at an "Individual Audio" retrofit, so this will probably be the car i finally get to do it on.

And the pièce de résistance ... only 14k miles. One previous owner. 4 services/all MOT's/tyres done at the same BMW dealer since new.

Few photos from the original advert.

Exterior (couple of minor dings to sort)

Interior (like new)

Mileage (ridiculous)

When i spotted it a couple of weeks ago, i simply had to have it, irrespective of everything else i currently own (M135i and an e90 335i), for my sad little BMW brain this is the pinnacle! Plan is simply to put it into storage for a few months over winter, then start using it in the Spring when BabySir_Dave arrives in April biggrin

Wow, lucky baby Dave, having his own car already sorted!

Looks lovely. I've idly mused over a 335i Touring a number of times. I do like them in Le Mans blue with the brown interior.

That is indeed a very rare thing.

Lovely car. Dare we ask how much? Difficult car to value at a guess.

Absolute steal saw it on Autotrader, tried to convince myself to sell the 2009 325d LCI e91 in same colour,. Just wish it had been on my doorstep could have changed car for less than £3k. Think the nav is one without the tick in the box in the bottom left corner which won't update without an update to the car system by BMW. Got mine done by an ebayer near Potefract (bit far for you) who did update and loaded latest maps for £100.

Colour combination and mega low mileage I guess.

I've just picked up an 08 Mini Clubman with a similarly high spec (everything ticked) and I thought that was mental low mileage for the year at 36k!

Miss my old 330i - tried to persuade the wife to get another but economy featured high on her must-haves unfortunately cry

Lovely.
I had a mega spec E90 335i until Jan when I sold it.

Great and very capable cars but there was something that I didn't get on with, so never really bonded with it.

Would have loved a E91 though.

If you can get the Individual Audio, then do so. It's a very very very good system.

Mainly as they simply didnt make very many. Howmanyleft suggest that only 25 LCI 335i Tourings were registered in 2008-2010 and they dont really come up for sale very often.
When they do, they are either really expensive, high mileage, and/or rubbish spec. This was great VFM, super low mileage & decent spec biggrin

As said above, this is the 3.0 twin turbo petrol, so if you're that way inclined, its 420bhp for a grand and 600+ with some uprated turbos.

Haha, did wonder if anyone else would have spotted it, think it was listed at 8:30am and i was sat in their office at 9:30!! Not ideal being that i had literally only just bought the M135i, and still have the e90 335i to sell, but well, ill just eat beans on toast for Xmas dinner ... as it happens, whilst i was there they had two more walk ins and various attempted deposits by phone!! By the time id collected it they said they'd had 18 enquiries on it hehe

Re; the nav, as you say, "no tick" is a bit of a pain for updates, although being honest, the nav is so rubbish in these anyway ill just carry on using Waze!

Yes, babydave will understand that BMW is life quite early on hehe
Le Mans blue is definately my favourite e9* hue and what the e90 330i/e90 335i/e91 325i are in, but Space Grey is ok, i guess it'll hide the dirt better than blue as well. Certainly better than Sapphire Black on the e91 335d and M135i laugh

Just checked history 10.47 on 24th November- I blame the tourer 340 thread, stupidly asking questions if could have tow bar fitted etc.
As good as a new car at a hell of a saving and without electric power steering which put me of subsequent 3 series

Agreed about Nav it does now accept postcode but still use tom tom on phone.

Enoy car and keep PH posted -great buy

Props to the dealer for turning down all the other enquiries!

No tick in the satnav in my 2010 E90, but it updated via the USB socket in the glovebox anyway. The satnav UI isn't super amazing, but I find the directions it gives quite clear, and I like the iDrive wheel thingy.

That looks a nice car I must say, although BMW interiors generally don't float my boat the Oyster looks tidy.

First owner must've been a rich boy.... who buys a new car to do 800 miles a year! I've CYCLED almost 10 times that this year!

First owner was actually John Sullivan OBE, i.e. the bloke who wrote Only Fools & Horses beer
The reason its done so little miles is that he died in 2011, so my assumption is that its just sat in his wifes garage since then - barring its annual trup to BMW for an MOT and/or service !!

Depends what you're in to i guess. Daft as i am, i love e9* BMW's, they are simple to work on, cheap for parts and most importantly, are the last ones with decent/hydraulic steering. The F30 is just poor by comparison, same with the M135i ... although the autoboxes on both are far far better than the old ZF6. So as a daily driver/do it all car a low mileage e91 335i Touring is perfect for me. My last e91 was a 375bhp 335d with 235k miles on it and that was awesomely amusing hehe

My wife of course thinks im mad and that our old 981 Boxster S was more than capable of carrying a baby around heheidea

MILEAGE!!

That is amazing. And what a story too! A working class hero IMO is the late Mr Sullivan - and who knew he had such taste in motors, what a guy! angel

You sir have picked up an absolute gem there. “Lovely jubbly” hehe

Lovely. Excellent colour combo too. e90's are great for ferrying the family around.

Any plans for it? M Performance exhaust on my 330i was the best thing I've ever done to a car so far.
