Looking great! Reminds me of the single seater racing cars I used to see with the 2.0l Vauxhall engine. (They gave the most power on Shell fuel).

While I was in the wheel arch fking about with the brakes, I noticed that windscreen washer pump looked a bit 'odd'. Turns out it was just waiting to fall apart on me;

Managed to find a replacement easily enough, turns out the same pump is used by a Merc Sprinter.

While I was there, I ran some new clear PVC piping in and installed the new pump. I now have washer jets that work which is another step towards an MOT pass.

This is how it looked before I took the wheels off to sort the brakes;

Really getting there now. I'm booked in with LAFabrication first week in April to have the rest of the exhaust made and the next few weeks I will be focusing on getting the wiring finished off, and getting fuel lines installed.

Seems all the more astounding to quote it then. A PM or a word to the mods might have been more inconspicuous.

Thanks very much, appreciate that. I'll try and remember to stick V-Power in it before I take it to the rolling road driving

Edited to remove as I promised

No probs at all - I figured a post would be quicker than a PM as you'd posted 3 updates in short succession and I was expecting another biggrin

Yes.

I did however read through council ferrari’s posts without noticing he’d photographed his address until you quoted it so my point still stands.

To the OP, a bit like the Ecsy thread we’re all routing for you.

Without de-railing the thread

1. it's entirely the OP's choice to post the photos - he may well have not been bothered about it (unusual as it sounds)

2. If I'd PM the OP he'd have my email address and I'm not keen on giving that out freely after a previous PH stalking incident

3. I'd explained my post and committed to remove the post as soon as I saw the OP had edited or removed his

The issue is resolved in a timely manner to my mind with no harm done

You seem to want to make an argument out of it and my response to you is a "Dance from 1914" and an "award" from the Acadamy of motion picture Arts and Science - and I'll bid you goodnight biggrin

Fair enough, I understand it’s not easy for some to admit a mistake on the internet and bid you the same.

Fantastic to see this build pop up again. I'd completely forgotten! Was it already decided to stay with the white or add some BTCC decals?

Sadly, there's not another one coming for a couple of weeks at least - I'm stuck in the middle of the sea. I know sometimes PH's mail system isn't the best anyway, the post was most welcome.

Thank you, it's appreciated. It's really not far off being done now.

BC's intentions were good and I understand that you might not agree with the method, but it got the warning through and that's what matters.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but I'm really glad it makes people smile.

I know, it's dragging on and the updates became quite infrequent unfortunately. It's staying white for the time being, I was tempted to add some decals but the painter did such a good job it feels foolish to cover it up!

It does look immaculate in white. Also most of us are big fans of mwstewart's Fiesta and the Lexspace builds, so don't worry about it dragging on. hehe

It looks better in each update!

I have fond memories of watching Cavaliers race in the BTCC and bought a 1992 SRi in 1995 which was a great car.

Now I'm already looking forward to seeing the next stage. thumbup
