Is the project dead?

It's either going to strip the spines on your homemade shafts or completely lunch itself when you get to your first slight deviation from dead straight.
My thoughts too.
that's EXACTLY what's going to happen, no other possible scenario

Video of first drive please....

Don't dismiss the Renault Twizy as a great BEC project (that's what I intend to do with mine when the battery dies) - I spent ages finding one for sale with an 'owned' battery so no battery lease applies - but you can also find a 'lease free' one if you are lucky enough to pick up a scrapped one from a yard. Advantages of the Twizy - it well engineered, handles quite well straight out of the box (as RenaultSport developed the chassis & suspension for them), and if you sacrifice the rear seat there is plenty of space for a bike engine install over the rear axle, and fuel tank goes nicely under the seat to keep the CoG low - hey presto a nice light single seat 'sportster' with scissor doors - what's not to love! 600cc CBR-F will do it - there's plenty of shove and economy in that (if geared correctly).
can't you just buy a 'normal' one and give renault their battery back?

Must be something they are putting in the water.

As I did something coincidentally similar recently

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-Car-Single-Seater-V...

160hp MC engine in a vintage ford forumla race chassis .....I've enough cars to fill my drive and enough problems just trying to sort out space in the garage before I can entertain the idea of storage....

But it was bidding cheap so couldn't refuse biggrin
Awesome! Is that road legal? Do you have a thread on it?
i did the same thing with an RF87, see profile... i went for a 2.1litre zetec turbo

Just had a look now, that is very cool and also road legal! Bet it’s fun but must be pretty scary on the roads with that power to weight being so low down!

It was frankly terrifying next to normal road traffic. But I did it as a dodge for ‘road legal’ hill climbing. I became somewhat of an expert on the mot regulations, lol... happy to advise anyone indulging similar fantasies... pm me...
