It looks to be in good condition, but I wouldn't even turn that over without replacing all the belts!!!

I got the subaru running and driving the other day, engine sounds nice. The clutch was seized but pulling away in second gear freed it off. I would post a video but having just recently been banned from posting on here for 7 days for posting videos from my youtube channel It's probably best that I don't.

Wait, what, I thought that rule had been changed to allow them?

I thought that too but a moderator went back through most of my recent posts and removed the videos and emailed me to say I had been warned before about posting videos from my channel and if I did it again I would be banned indefinitely.
Seems a little bit unfair.

Shed tyre question.

One of the tyres on my 05 polo (just hit 100000 miles last week lol ) seems to go soft every 4 weeks or so. From 29psi as normal down to 8psi ?

Can’t see a nail anywhere , we are on a farm and this is what has happened before with the civic. Maybe a valve ?

Idly checking kwik fit I was shocked that the cheapest budget tyre for this is £50 , had expected around £30 ! Been a long time since ran a older car / not purchased “premium “ tyres mind.

Personally I would (politely) challenge him on that. 100%, I remember a rule change to allow them. I'm even pretty sure it was I who sent you the link showing you the rule change?!

Oh yes, nice find!

I've been looking for one myself these last few years.

I've owned three, regret selling the last one.

What are your plans with the Estelle?

Plans are to drive it for a short while then sell it.

I bought one of those for my mum as a temporary stopgap when she wrote off her Fiesta. ISTR I paid 150 quid and about another 50 or so to get it through a MoT.
She never replaced it. She ran it on a shoestring for around five years until she finally gave up her license. She sold it to the neighbours daughter for 500 I think and trousered the cash!
I hated the bloody thing.

The Camry died.

It cut out on a wet roundabout and wouldn't restart so had to A-frame it with the 505. Had a quick look and it doesn't seem to be getting spark, the coil is inside the distributor and looks a little bit rusty, tested with a multimeter and seemed like the likely culprit.

My Aprilia passed its mot after replacing the chain, tyre and a couple of other bits and pieces. It ran out of mot in July and I've been considering selling it lately but it's probably the wrong time of year to be selling a bike. I hadn't driven it in a while and drove it to the mot last week and it really is great fun to rag around, it'll rev above 11k and smells phenomenal burning the 2 stroke oil!

The Chevette is finally rust free and (many shades of) one colour, a friend said he'd come up one day and respray if properly for me but I'm happy enough with it as it is for now.

Great to see Shed activity is ongoing - such a brilliant thread. thumbup

And your Subaru pick-up is ideal for transporting an off-road bike - but it looks a bit too smart for your thread! laugh

Great thread! Why are threads like this so popular with PHers, much more interesting seeing these cars than anything newer car thread, think shedding (albeit this is advanced shedding smile ) is definitely on the rise.

Think people are just fed up of cars that break when it rains and require a trip to the dealer to code a headlight...(sarcasms of course, but not far from the truth)

I think I’d like to know more about the 505.
I feel so dirty.

I’ve been off PH for a while so have only just found this thread - which I’ve greedily consumed over the last 1.5 hours.

It’s like some black-market catnip. I’m equal parts exhausted and aroused.
