2.9 straight diesel and dogleg gearbox. Goes well enough, seems fairly reliable but isn't going to win any races.

I bought a Lada and a fergusson tractor and did a giveaway for the CZ 125. This week I'm doing the mk1 Golf.

I want that Lada so badly I think my foot might fall off. Where did you find it? I thought they'd all been shipped back to Russia years ago.

What's with the number plates? UK front, foreign on the back.

The Lada was advertised on facebook marketplace and was along in Alloa. I'm waiting on a new radiator before I can really use it.

I love this thread, such a mental variation of cars that were once relatively commonplace but are now a rarity.

Follow the changes on FB too.

The T1 Merc is awesome

Another great selection there. thumbup

I particularly liked the Vauxhalls as I had a couple of Cavaliers from that era back in the 90s. They seemed much more mechanically robust than Fords of that vintage, but for some reason don't seem nearly as popular as the Blue Oval models. confused

I love the silver Corolla - I have many happy memories of the tail-happiness of my mums 5 door liftback!

Also the Lexus LS400, I used to hate them but now would love one.

I'm more inclined to the 80s and 90s jap stuff than I am of an old Belmont or Chevette. That Cherry is just a lovely example (great wheels) and that Corolla has some classic lines.
