The seller of the front bumper who disappeared off the face of the earth messaged me today, asking if i was still interested in buying the bumper at a discounted price. I said sure, drop me your address ill collect it after work on my way home. I now have a ST front bumper in Colorado red. very hard to find.

We got chatting about what im doing with my car and he noticed my wheel was damaged, Id seen his set of wheels advertised but wasn't interested at the price he had them listed for. He said theyre mine for £80 if I can wait a week to get them, So well see how that ends up working out.

Bumper should be getting fitted on Wednesday.

Give me a PM of what I've done to my old MK6 (1.25) and I'll have the shedding idea well and truly out of the way for you... PS if you are interested in a brake upgrade I have ST front calipers lying spare? Bolt on job for when you next change the front pads/discs.

This is going well beyond the shedding we do in our Mk6 Fiesta!

Colour coded door handles are a nice upgrade and are an absolute doddle to fit.

I'll pm you when I'm next home and on the computer, doesn't seem to want to work on my phone.

I think we all know that shedding has well and truly gone out the window now that I've discovered how easy it is to mod these and that there's alot you can do to make them look decent

You just had to put more ideas into my head didn't you

Think the title needs changing to nodding mk6 fiesta on a budget

Maybe if I was insanely rich laugh

A couple of things today, tiny stuff though really. Ran down to the local independent car spares shop and picked up a handful of fuses for £1.50, got two 501 sidelight bulbs as one is blown and the other is dim a bit like me laugh for £4.

Picking up the wheels on the way to work tonight and hopefully I'll have those fitted during my lunch break. Bit sooner than I expected but not moaning.

Changed the fuse for the 12v socket and It now works but couldn't get it to work on ignition power just pernament live. I can live with it.

Hopefully changing the bumper on Wednesday.

Finally have my scoot back and I've taken my sat nav from it for the car. I'm sick of using waze all the time. Taking the scooter to work tomorrow so one of the managers can have a look at it, he's downgrading from a Honda pan as he's having issues shifting/holding the weight up with a bad knee.

The bumper has a crack in it but its nothing major, ill take the cable ties out and do a proper repair. This and the fact it was filthy meant I got it at a very good price compared to a bare ST bumper, they go for silly money without fogs and grills.

The wheels are 17s wrapped in Hankook tyres. Not sure what make the wheels are but with a good clean they should look good on the car.

Nice to see parts coming together!

I've got some very similar alloys for my other fiesta (long story) but opted for genuine ford on my own!

Much better! Although you seem to be falling into a trap that I've fallen into previously when I've had cheap cars and that is where do you draw the line? I've been known to buy a cheap car and then spend more than what the car cost on mods.... biggrin

I think the most ill do now is facelift rear lights, change the side indicators and maybe tint the rear windows slightly, for now im quite happy with how it is. Ill probably change my mind in a week but im happy for now laugh The scoot has just sold so now Im looking at 2 wheeled projects, my mind could be taken away from the car for a few weeks laugh

To be fair at low-mid volume, its not too bad. You just need to figure out the best frequency for the car. It doesn't let you transmit the music at a high volume though.

I got given one thats aux - fm transmitter powered by 2xAAA batteries and its much better. The batteries last ages in it and Ive always got some on charge anyway for my controllers/wireless keyboard/mouse at home.

The bluetooth - FM transmitter I got for £5 will sit in the glovebox as a spare or something.

I'd invest in some decent tyres and just use it now. Ours is great on Rainsports.

Smart. I’ve just bought my son one of these as his first car. It’s not fast but it’s simple fun and takes me back to when I was young. Fezzers are brilliant little cars.

pretty much the plan, no more big jobs for now. Ive taken it out for a good drive this evening and even in the wet it just stuck like glue to the road. I think theyre the Hankook Ventus V12 evo 2s and theyve got decent tread so dont think ill be changing them until theyre worn a bit.

They're not bad tyres, then
