Mrs MB140 wins Dream Car Giveaway
Discussion
Mrs MB140 is a bit of a car nut. Truth be told she has more free cash than me and probably likes cars more than me (I will hand my man card in). She occasionally buys tickets for dream car giveaway when they have something she would like to own. Recent Nissan R34, older Porsche’s etc.
Well about 6 months ago she was looking at Integra type R in blue but couldn’t find one in budget and condition she wanted to buy.
She saw a blue dc5 on dream car giveaway recently and bought a ticket.
Well......
She’s working down in London at the moment and rang me up shouting down the phone all excited. Actually she was incomprehensible.
Turns out she has just won a Honda Integra Type R.
To say both she and I are chuffed is an understatement. To top it off we both have leave next week. I can see a road trip coming on.

How cool is that? Love them.
Just been told we’re collecting it Wednesday so I will try and get some pics of it at pickup. Will do a bit of a write up on it when I get a chance to drive it, which might be a while as I predict trying to pry the keys out the wife’s hands might be harder than getting crack off a crack we. I think I will be demoted to the Wife’s Mustang for the drive back so not a bad alternative.
Thanks guys, it’s a very nice surprise and I’m chuffed to bits for her (and thus me). I will try to do I write up about it. Will probably start a thread in readers cars. I will link from here to the write up.
Only problem I foresee is it would be easier to get a bag of crack off a crack we than it will be to prise the keys out of the wife’s hands.
Now to do some research on the DC5. Known issues etc. Get it booked in for a health check. Check when the fluids and belts were last done and make sure it’s in tip top condition.

They’re pretty bomb proof. Rust is the main enemy.Only problem I foresee is it would be easier to get a bag of crack off a crack we than it will be to prise the keys out of the wife’s hands.
