One of the new wheels are missing a centre cap, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to grab a new set. Can't be tricky can it?

Apparently I was wrong.

I grabbed these from eBay

They arrived today and I went out to pop them on, except they don't fit. FFS. They don't seem to click home, and when lining them up against an original it's easy to see why.

I did however seem to get the right diameter (56mm) which I guess is a bonus. M600 is stamped on the back of the originals.

A virtual pint to anyone who can find me some which actually fit!
Mine also was missing one when I got it. I ended up having to buy a set of 4 off eBay as that's all that was available at the time. I think they were the last set the seller had. That means I've got 3 spares although they aren't in the best condition - all have damage and are missing the rear metal ring but they do still clip in OK. If this matches yours then I'm happy to post it to you. You can't tell in the photo, but it's marked M600.

I'm late to the party. You wouldn't let me in anyway as mine is a UK Spec.B

And I'm late because I was going to suggest finding some Impreza MY03 STI wheels, as they are the only 17" OE wheel that is wider than 7J at 7.5J, and they suit 225/45/17 tyres really well. Oh and I think the car works better on 17s, but that's just me.

Thanks for the offer RDB but they're different to mine. I might have a temporary bodge arriving today, some generic caps and then some stickers which might fit. We will see.

Also, thanks for the info orangecurry. I did initially regret my decision to move to 18s as the ride was significantly worse....I then twigged the tyres were at 44psi rather than 33psi!

In other news, these arrived today

Working a couple of nights now tho, so cannot fit until next week. Damn it.

No worries. Couldn't quite tell from the photos whether they were the same or not.

(and here's a late photo I just found, in case in the future you want some 17s)

What's in the box (Looks like from Mtec brakes - great value) is better than what's outside the box.

Your postcode.

Thirty seconds of google tells me where this car is, outside your house. Get that pic down!

Looks good. Are you going to colour code the front spats? Will look a lot better, IMO.

Yes, that's the plan at some point.

Will set it off. I'm actually looking for another Legacy at the moment. Facelift this time round and I quite like the pearl white colour.

I think a lot of the cars from Torque GT are on WH plates. Might be a recent import?

Unfortunately one of the tyres on the new alloys was misshapen meaning I got a vibration at motorway speeds. It was really ruining my enjoyment of the car so today had a couple of new rainsport 5 fitted to the rear. The two newer (2018) rainsport 3 were then rebalanced and fitted back on the front. Thankfully the imbalance has now gone. An expensive day out.

In other news it looks like the ATF fluid was changed in 2017, so should be good for a while.
