Oh yeah, that made the HX group pretty quickly I can tell you. There is a video of it being recovered by a REME tracked recovery Scimitar thingy.
Probably should have checked the depth. They will do 0.75m un modded and a whopping 1.5m with a wade kit fitted (although I've yet to find out what the wading kit actually consists of).

Was a CRARRV, based on a Challenger 1 tank. Probably should have checked the depth. They will do 0.75m un modded and a whopping 1.5m with a wade kit fitted (although I've yet to find out what the wading kit actually consists of).
Edit, beaten to it.

Tracked vehicle Scimitar thingy! How dare you!! That is a CRARRV! Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle. 65 tons of Challenger chassis with a bloody great winch, Crane and Dozer blade!
Lols, thanks for the correction gentlemen. Please apologise to the REME crew trying to console their poor 'CRARRV' I know you are waiting patiently for an update. It’s because I’m waiting for the whole assembly of all the parts to take place before doing the big reveal of painted cab, box and chassis.
All I can say is I’ve seen photos of the painted cab and it looks monumental.
In the meantime, here is a painted wheel...

Can't be much just waterproofing certain electrics and fitting blanking covers to different holes. The Winter and Waterproof ones just need the heater flap closing, putty in the door drains, air lines and recovery strop out of the cupola and loads of grease everywhere that moves. That's it. Afterwards they need each wheel station stripping down and the brakes hosed with clean water if they've been in the sea. Loads of fun in the field on the 15 tonner.

From around 2018 IIRC. We had one driver who forgot to put the difflocks on and shut the heater flap. He got a bit wet as the truck just sat there spinning into the sand under the water.
To the right is the beach recovery vehicle.
