Yeah, to be fair to him he had not done any off road driving at that point and the truck was only out on that ground to test a new torsion set up (which was deemed too flexible). The film crew wanted footage of the owner driving even though previously it was the converters who had driven it around. Bobberoo said:
Another good video Project, a question, do you already have reverse parking cameras? If so a double din unit with A/V input could be a good idea, it could also be useful as a sat vav display, the downside is a double din is obviously more expensive than a single din.
Thanks Bobberoo. Yes, I have two cameras and a big Garmin Sat with twin inputs. So the plan is to have one reverse and one nearside camera. Also an input on the double din is a good idea. I already have a double din, having pre purchased a brand new (factory recon) Pioneer high end unit. Me and my bargains eh? Downside to that was I bought it with an 'estimation' that I could make it fit. Now it's come to it..... whole different matter

What's the issue?
Nothing massive, there is just a whole bank of switches which operate the diff locks underneath the din slot and then the plastic frame to cut. I did. Then I looked at the dash and thought, that would take a double din.
Then, I got me a lovely double din Pioneer top flight thing for very low pounds and I was all happy.
Then I took a proper look at the dash and what I thought was just a mounting plate for the switches was in fact moulded. Doh.
If it's not workable then I won't bother and I will purchase a single din motorised and sell the double din off.
Hardest bit is going to be fitting speakers. It has two cut outs for 4" on the top of the dash about 15cm apart
How do you get stereo from that? I've had ghetto blasters^ with speakers further apart than that.
^apologies if that expression isn't pc - it's what I know them as.

Yep, that's a bit of an issue!!
It's a shame you're not closer, I'd have been happy to come and have a look to see what could be done, if you're not averse to cutting holes, speaker mounting is easy, alternatively with the amount of space in Rosie's cab custom builds mounted behind you would be the way to go.

I have a pair of 'Loudest' brand 6x9's from a previous project and they are going in custom boxes behind and run off an amp. The front will be a couple of full range 4" (to fit in the dash) and a pair of Focal or similar angled tweeters.
Got to sound & thermal mat the floor and tunnel first mind.
Thanks for the offer, appreciated.
