Fantastic job, really nice. Practical performance!
Two questions. As an overall driving experience (not just outright performance) how does it compare with your old R26R? Which is more fun?
Also the CAE shifter, they look great, what's it like to use? Is it an improvement? I'm thinking about one for my Boxter.

Good call on the extinguisher, may not save teh car but should buy you hopefully some time.
Were you not tempted with a plumbed in system? They're very easy to install.
Also noticed a nice little PH share of this car on Facebook yesterday, deservedly so
Yeah realistically it isn’t a 4kg plumbed in FIAA job, but a few seconds is a lifetime leaving a car. I am tempted for plumbed in one, gonna look at doing a stealth install in the spare wheel well, with cables hidden under the dash, as I ain’t racing! Were you not tempted with a plumbed in system? Compared to my old .R (no 58, climate, cage, r888’s and most importantly the ti exhaust) it’s faster, handles better and is built to a much higher standard. The .R was a proper event to drive, with the 6 points, the seats, the cages, and I missed that in my first 250. I was offered it to buy again, but after driving a mark 3 I couldn’t go back, and now this has the loud exhaust, the cage, the harness’ etc, it does have the “race car” feel again. Two questions. Many purists are going to hate this, but a standard mk3 is a lot more fun than an .R. It’s just a better car.
CAE shifter isn’t a short shifter or a quick shift. It removes slack out the oem setup, and moves the shifter close to steering wheel. It also looks Uber cool! I’d fully recommend one, as again, it makes the car special to drive. Precise, slick and solid would be three words to describe it. If you’re near me (Derbyshire) you’re more than welcome to try before you buy (they’re not cheap!).
