A sad tale, my sympathies OP.

Unfortunately my Z experience was the same even though it was all those years ago when the 350z was new, the main dealers were absolutely woeful.

Damn frown Sorry to be reading this & all that's happened...

I think that its the frustration that gets you the most; being faffed about with people arguing the toss when you know for sure you're right etc...

Hopefully you'll get it moved on soon enough & then it's time for another project smile

Just read your tale of woe mate, sorry to hear the struggle.

As you said you explored all the options and have come to a sad end. Clearly 11k on a new engine is a crazy price and there is a huge mark up in the pricing from Nissan. The only thing that crosses my mind is, could you claim on your insurance?

The vehicle is damaged (internally). You can't afford the 11k price to fix, who would!? Might be worth a chat with your insurer to see if that is covered.
Assume selling the car as a non runner is a huge loss to you?

So sad to read about the demise of your car OP, especially after all the fun you had with it. frown

Some great memories made as well - I hope you can find something else to make memories with. thumbup

I've always wanted one of these and not afraid of a project. If you wouldn't mind sending me a message as to what you'd want for the car as it is please?

Ouch..hope you healed up ok afterwards!

Strange thing to say, but I honestly think I'd have preferred for my car to go out like that, rather than enduring four months of headaches, unknowns and setbacks!

Cannot recommend Spa enough; the hype doesn't do it justice. It's spectacular.

Yes I know what you mean it's a gutting feeling not gettin a brake when you have put a lot of time and money in to the car .

I will look to do Spa soon as I have done the Nurburgring for x 5 years but never got to Spa yet but hope to do so with the new car ( Megane 250 cup so we have something in common so see you at Spa next year smile )

Sorry to read this OP, good effort with it, great to see one being used on track to. Hopefully you’ll find something else to take its place.
