Mine just has a polystyrene type thing shaped a bit like a spare wheel and it holds the tyre inflator etc and a few tools on the outer edges.
I'm beginning to wonder if mine even has a sub because I'm finding it hard to imagine where they would put it? The stereo is a Bose one though. Unless they fit smaller subs under the seats or something?
Check under the seats. Its a common place for subs to go these days.I'm beginning to wonder if mine even has a sub because I'm finding it hard to imagine where they would put it? The stereo is a Bose one though. Unless they fit smaller subs under the seats or something?
I've just done a bit of searching on the internet, and apparently the Roadster has 2 small subs behind the seats somewhere...instead of the really big one that you get in the boot with the Coupe.
From what I've read the Bose stereo sounds much better in the Coupe than it does in the Roadster as well.

Yes. I have subs under the seats in the Cooper S. From my previous post I believe that they are behind the seats in the 370Z Roadster. Classic statement coming up:
Here is me on the way back from the Nürburgring
Had the car 4 years, no issues at all. It was wild, i don't know if i ever felt fully safe driving it - that may be just my poor skills, or the specific car i had but the car is wild.
Within 5 mins of buying it had a massive sideways brown trouser moment, anyone else had the same experience !!

Now you mention it, having a sub in the boot of a roadster (with the roof mechanism/bulkhead etc between you and it) would be a pretty daft thing...From what I've read the Bose stereo sounds much better in the Coupe than it does in the Roadster as well.
The stereo in the coupe does sound decent though I don't know if better or worse than the roadster. As with all things, I am sure it can be improved by the judicious addition of money.

The wriggle of (the cars) hips as it kicks down when overtaking in the damp is a useful reminder of its ability to loosen stools..

I do turn the tcs off in mine(mainly because I don't like the way that it feels when it cuts in). However the Cerbera I had taught me that you have to really respect the power/performance...or you will end up in a field for sure!
No bad thing though. People often slate my car because it struggles a bit with traction (lots of torque, narrow-ish rear tyres) but I think it’s because too many people treat he accelerator like an on/off switch. I guess lots of AWD performance cars means people expect point and squirt cars all of the time.
I’ve given the car a good wash and taken care of a couple of niggly cosmetic things.
Great result de-yellowing the headlights with some t-cut and polish
Before
After
Engine bay looking a little more presentable now after a good once-over
After I’d finished washing the car I went for a drive to get it all dirty again..! Managed to get some half decent photos
The rear 3/4 view is such a great angle for this car, just looks the absolute business

Thanks guys, I am glad its not just me being a wus. No one talks about the wildness! The car did need respect, but was rewarding and you know there is a point in your life when this is amazing fun. But the back slipping out when I am going to get milk from ASDA got a little bit long in the tooth after a few years.
Some great 370z pics here, clear to see the "Silver" was the best colour
Sorry NNH, i am a bit early with my third post - look out for my fourth in 2030 - when i have my Nissan i 700zx e

I’m glad you’ve managed to attain ownership of your dream car! I’ve always been interested to see how the 370Z stacks up against its older sister. Scrubbing the lights up makes such a huge difference to the look of the car. I did mine on my 350Z recently and for such a small job it really freshens things up. Yours is the best colour too
It’s nice to see Zeds getting some love. Keep up with the updates!

I had a 350Z for about 5 or 6 years until 18 months ago. It wasa love/hate relationship from beginning to end tbh. It scared the brown stuff outta me pretty early on through going into a fishtaling slide in a small town of all places. (And no. I wasn't going at warp speed - or even low warp speed).
Yet the engine was invariably brilliant. The gearbox was damn good. The brakes were better than most. And the whole package was extremely reliable. Yet I never fell in love with it. Weird, I know. But it never grabbed me emotionally. I think at bottom that was because somehow I never felt confident in it. That's obviously a reflection me rather than the car but at speed I was never sure exactly just how much grip was left. And one fact (I think it's a fact anyway....) was always lurking in my sub consciousness. That in America, there are more deaths per 100,000 miles in Z cars than in any other mass production make of car. I assume that's because they're powerful and cheap and therefore natural boy racer vehicles.
My Z car has now gone - to be replaced by something I've been after for a decade at least: an Alfetta GTV6. And she's an absolute beauty. Featured in Auto Italia last October in fact. Now that's a car I really do trust!
Cheers all
