PS: the seller also cheesed me off a bit by suggesting that my Lancia Appia was "one of those three wheeled things", but I wasn't going to buy the Alfetta anyway.
Hope you washed his mouth out with soap......

What an eejit , The Ape is made by Vespa / Piaggio , nothing to do with Lancia Appia .
One of my wife's favourite vehicles.
Very popular with Italian labourers who aren't in a hurry .

The Alfetta I saw in the summer is still for sale. I declined when offered it again last week. The seller might take an offer.
I might fancy an earlier Alfetta GT - much underappreciated and the best engine of the 105/116 (apart from busso V6) - is that the one Cambridgeshire way?

Yes, the car is circa 75 or 76 and has the 1800 engine. I am happy to PM you my views about the car, which are supported by those of a friend who is an engineer and who has tested the car. It needs saving from an engine swap! The car is definitely worth a look and a haggle, in my opinion

I just love that 124 Coupe.

Many years ago a friend had a 1968 1400cc Coupe single headlight in dark blue and I have keep half an eye out for one like it for myself.

We have added a Trevi to the Fleet and still have your old 156 V6 Sportswagon.

£7500 for that blue 1800 Alfetta? Does your expert think the black, sticky stuff injected into panels is Ziebart, Dinitrol or something else?

My restorer who does Alfettas as his main line of work swears by Dinitrol but uses the clear one (I think it is the Dinitrol 1000) underneath - this is a video still from my alfa 105 coupe he did last week after the Dinitrol has been applied.

I am usually very wary of black gloop everywhere - it may hide what lies underneath.
