I know that increasing the rev limit on the V10 from 8250 to 8500 rpm isn't advised, so not sure if that may apply to the V8.
I've had mine done by AReeve who upped it to 8600rpm, and they map them all the time.5mileofdeath said:

Very nice indeed, i keep swaying between an m140i and an e92 m3 for my next car, i have a family now and may be doing less commuting going forward but im not sure i would want to daily an m3 as it may lose its shine over time. Looks like it has a nice list of mods with the exhaust etc
The M140i is a great car, but imo just a very quick and capable 1 series. The E92 M3 can do the daily stuff easy with no fuss and totally transform its character when you start to push it.
M3 FTW lol
I was torn between an E90 M3 and an M140i.
I chickened out on the M3 and bought a 140i. It’s a fun little car in its own right but it is very much just a one series with a big engine shoved in the front. I think it looks ok but doesn’t have the presence for an M car and it lacks aurally. But, it’s cheap to fuel, VED is cheap at £150 a year, three years servicing was £299 and it’s pretty easy for lobbing my mountain bike on, ferrying the title ‘un to school etc whilst putting a smile on my face at times. Put for pure driving enjoyment it leaves a bit to be desired.
If I was braver / did less miles the E90 would have been a no brainier. I was supposed to keep my car for four years (as I would if I’d stated in the company car scheme) but am currently finding the lure of an M2 very strong.
Sorry to have gone off topic a bit.
Beautiful car OP.
On the subject of number plates, are those stick on plates that people used to stick on their bonnets years ago still legal?
I was wondering what one would look like without the plinth, just stuck to the bumper.
Edit: it really looks a clean shape without the number plate and plinth on.

Now, from the standard, the E92’s naturally have quite a rear rake. So the H&R springs are a drop of 25mm on the front, 15mm on the rear.
In my opinion, it now sits perfectly and the ride hasn’t really been compromised at all. It’s very stiff with the EDC on anyways, very much to my taste.
The outcome:
Also snapped up a private plate I wanted. Y88 CBC, sort of looks like V8 haha, CBC is the initials for my company.

That looks great, bet you are really happy with the condition considering it is almost 12!
Can I ask how those skirt extensions are fitted? Is it 3M tape and screws? How is it holding up?
I ask because I have some but I am concerned that water will trap and sit between the extension and the body work.

Yeah its a combination of both mate, they're fine, can't see any reason as to why they wouldn't hold up!Can I ask how those skirt extensions are fitted? Is it 3M tape and screws? How is it holding up?

Good man, I just picked up a vert version and the weather these last few days has been glorious; roof down you get to enjoy the induction and exhaust even more.
Looks incredible condition, you planning to run without a front plate or looking at workarounds for one?
Keep the thread updated, it’s nice to see other people’s ideas.
