Hi all. I've been meaning to post my pride and joy for ages but never got round to it. This is my 2007 fn2. If anyone interested I'll give a brief history of my previous cars but sorry no pics of any of them apart from one. I passed my test in 2003 and had a 1986 escort 1.6. Full rs turbo look alike that blew up. Next was a 306 d turbo, 1994 L reg in Miami blue. This lasted 8days until I rolled it into a ditch resulting in a collapsed lung and a shattered elbow(still bent and full of plates and pins). While in plaster cast and unable to drive I got myself another 306 d turbo in Diablo red. 17inch wheels,Lexus rear lights(all the rage in 2004)and messed with fuel pump. After 18months or so I found a cheap 1998 escort gti in salvage yard on a cat d due to vandalism damage. All the windows had been smashed no other damage. Big let down these cars no way did the deserve a gti badge.
Then had various other daily until 2009 when I brought my dream car a 2001 Subaru Impreza UK300. I spent alot of money on it and with turbo and injectors etc it ended up at 336bhp. Made alot of good friends on various midlands based forums etc. In 2011 I changed jobs and it wasn't practical so I sold it to a bloke in London and got myself a facelift ep3 type r. Great car but I missed my impreza so decided after 3months I'd sell type r and buy an STI. Then my phone rang and it was bloke I sold in uk300 to. He was going through a divorce and car was for sale. Monday morning I was on the train to get my subaru back. Fast forward to 2013 and I went through a relationship break up myself so car had to go as I needed money for somewhere to live. I got offered another civic type r ep3 in px plus cash my way. Deal was done and the civic got abused as I had no love for it. After 6months or so a lad by me had a mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R forsale. It was dog rough in onvi yellow that had fadded and laquer peel on every panel. It had 50k miles tho and ran well. He wanted £1700 for it 2004 225 bam engine. I offered him straight swap as he would probably sell my type r easier so deal was done. My friend had bodyshop and repainted car for £400 if I prepped and paid for materials. The car was like new but it broke down weekly with some sensor or other failing. I put it up forsale and got £4200 not a bad bit of profit. I then decided it was time for another Subaru and found a nice 2003 blobeye wrx in Yorkshire. After 18months i got the car to how I wanted it. Running about 330ish bhp but it was a garage queen and I was push biking it to work to save parking it on works car park.

After speaking with my now better half i decided to sell it to buy a cheap daily runner and have few penny in the bank. It sold quick and I went and got my current fn2 type r. It was a clean standard example and that's how I intended it to stay. Well it did for 12months then I got bored so I started improving (in my opinion) and the car is how it looks now. I've had done.
15mm lowering springs, camber bolts,15mm spacers all round and frsu.
Pipercross induction kit(this is now holding car back so will change in few weeks time)
Powder coated gloss black wheels with ps4 rubber.
Mugen look rear spoiler with carbon center blade.
Cm composites front splitter and support rods.
Carbon under bumper rear diffuser.
Solarplex rear window tints.
Padgid discs and pads all round.
Skunk2 weighted gear knob with shortshifter.
Skunk2 oil cap.
12mm bonnet raisers.
Black type r badges/decals
Tegiwa 70mm cat back.
Japspeed 421 manifold.
Mapped by Paul West (tdi north) 4 switchable maps. 1-normal remap. 2-flat foot shift and blip on downshift. 3-same as map 2 but with pops and bangs. 4-security map so car won't start. It's also got adjustable launch control and vtec kicks in at 3600rpm and rev limiter increased to 8800rpm.
It's just come out of paint shop last week with front and rear bumpers painted and a dent I had on drivers door sorted.
I really love the car it is so much fun and punches well above it's weight. Shocks alot of other cars. Thanks for reading if you have and I'll keep posting as there more to come from the car.

In still having a love hate relationship with mine at the moment. I bought it purely as a cheap daily/thrasher, and after a few basic mods there's nothing wrong with it. I just don't find it as much fun as other cars I've had. That said anything I want as a replacement is a fair chunk more cash so it'll stay for a while at least.
Only mods I've done are 18 inch Pro Race wheels, Eibach springs, Miltek exhaust and fixed drivers seat to get the seating position lower and Pioneer headunit. Really need to get a clutch in it, and the whole driver side 3/4 panel has lost it's lacquer after I kept going with the jet wash.

Welcome along. Great looking car, like the mods you’ve done. The FN2 is a good looking car and it’s aged well.

I found mine abit boring in standard form. I highly recommend a marlin ecu. They about £400ish and really give them a kick up the arse. I had one on mine for about a month then had 421 manifold and map tweak (£150 and done on rollers) it really does pull hard now. It makes more torque off vtec as a standard car Makes on vtec if that makes sense?

I've thought about doing that, but I also just can't be arsed to spend the cash on a car I'm not that arsed about.
