Nice to see a fellow M3 owner down in the west country!
I've got a Lemans blue E92.

About the maps, there is a free way to update the maps to 2020. I've done it on mine. If you want, PM me and I'm happy to run through it.
I've got the 1.75 box mod, with a primary decat. For the coupe it's perfect. Quiet enough to daily with 0 drone, but agressive and loud as hell at full noise at 8600RPM. (i've also had it mapped by aReeve.
Ah a West Country local! Big fan of Le Mans blue.

Will drop you a PM about the maps, sounds good - unusual for something M related to be free! Lol! Few of us heading to Re:Fuel on Sun 16th Aug for a coffee and a nose if your interested, don’t know where you are in West Country? I posted about it in South West forum on here.

It took some faffery, but I managed to do mine once I got a proper USB stick aha!

I'm Bristol based, what about you? I live about 2 miles from Redish!

I might do actually, sounds like a decent shout.

Si, were you out last friday? 33oC - i drove from cambridge to essex and back again (after a cuppa with me mum), roof down all the way.

it was absolutely glorious. I've been driving 20+ years and have only owned a convertible for the last month. Why didn't i do this earlier ?!
I was indeed, it was glorious! The convertible thing is a well kept secret and as I have said before, any car if offered in convertible guise just offers so much more in terms of driving experience, force mine to work this afternoon - excuse was I needed to fuel up for days off......lol!

Sounds good, I am about 4 miles from Cheddar in a small village - having Redish on your doorstep could prove expensive!

Your welcome to tag along, we are doing the afternoon session, have to prebook because of Covid. If you do drop me a line and we can link up.

I might do! I'm often in/around Cheddar most weekends with mates, or round Chew valley.
That's what mine looks like aha!

not my first choice of destination but a friend is visiting his ex wife and kids in frinton-on-sea tomorrow, i have nothing to do so am going to drive down (160 mile round trip) and have a quick beer with him.

Looking forward to the drive in 33oC heat rather than seeing my friend for the first time since march laugh

Haha haha! Any excuse for a drive in the sun, looks like a hot weekend ahead and I am off Fri-Mon so we are good to go!

very nice car. All the little tweaks and fixes make such a difference. I've done the steering wheel retrim, new gearstick, new storage box etc. in my E46. Makes it feel so much fresher.
Personal opinion, keep the chrome grille!

Bit mixed isn’t it! Tomorrow will be better, put roof down earlier to go out, turned round and it was throwing it down!

Thanks bud, I am very much about the OEM and am thinking of keeping stock grilles now. Think I will still do chrome delete around windows but leave the rest.

Was looking at Royal for a retrim but since cleaning it, finding it hard to justify.

Agree on the window chrome delete. Royal did my wheel. Nappa with M stitching. Superb job and good value.

Yes the chrome delete I think will transform the silouhette of the car and bring it more up to date coupled with an LCi set of rear lights.

BMW are odd with their LCi models - so mine is a 2009 with the updated iDrive but no rear lights?!?

This weather is perfect for demonstrating what a Jekyll and Hyde type car this is. Roof down, shades on with Mrs Sit and Sit Jnr in the car and it’s wonderfully comfy and a joyful way to top up the Vitamin D. On my own after a 10hr night shift, sun coming up and quiet roads it’s into M mode and away we go.

Mine was a 2009 model and it had the later idrive, but my brother in laws is also a 2009 model and that has the older idrive. I think the later rear lights came in around 2010 iirc.
