Steve, only just found this thread.

Had huge fun chasing you at Cadwell - one of my favourite races to date.

Video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdNyxGC_Me0&t=...

Can see you ahead from about 08:30 and I'm directly behind from ~10 mins in.

Hope to see you out there again at some point!

Yep, still moving forward with the development of the car cloud9.

I wasn’t expecting too much yesterday but we had found some extra pace over testing and landed 100th of a second off the second row of the grid which was a pretty acceptable place to be. We know the car is mega off the line but there is no space at Cadwell and I’ve had a big shunt at a start there before. In fact my track record at Cadwell is pretty decent but I can’t remember a race without any drama, it’s so bad that it’s the one circuit that Mrs H refuses to come along to help at paperbag.

Fortunately it wasn’t so bad this time, this was my start -

From there I dropped back behind one of the M3s and the TCR outdragged me but then proceeded to hold me up so I was running in a train with him in front and the orange M3 right behind for a number of laps with only 10ths between us.

As soon as the pitstop window opened I dived in and came out again in clean air so I could get a couple of good laps in before the other guys pitted and sure enough it worked as an undercut and I came back out third in class, 4th overall. With the tow broken I managed to keep a good gap behind me and the M3 in front went off with a damaged splitter bumping me onto the overall podium and 2nd in class.

The last place I expected to get it but our first trophy for IMR clap.

Hi Dan

That was a great race but I was getting frustrated there just watching that sequence and knowing we could both go faster laughlaugh

I’m hoping to do some of the MSVR stuff again this year although I think some will clash with other plans, the season is nearly here though and I can’t wait to get started!

That green and white TCR car was a pain wasn't he? Knew just how to back you up on corner entry, then outdrag you on the straights, good work getting past him finally.

I’m with a new teammate and going back into the 750 Enduro Championship. I won class C and the overall title with Mattnoss in 18 and took the class B win in the Cayman at the last round of last year so hoping to be competitive but there’s some serious kit in there, mostly run by pro teams so we’re expecting a battle.

Yea, a very quick car but not much good at Cadwell, passing in the pits was the only way I could see of making it happen without doing anything daft. If he’d come right out behind me he might have been a problem as he could follow round there but couldn’t lead, but I was pretty sure that so long as he didn’t have a tow after the stops there was no way he was catching up.
