so 887 miles done in my new 999cc comfort and of those 750 have been LPG.

I've finally got the knack of using the adapter and this is turning out to be a fantastic car. I think its size is perfect for UK roads and more recently i've begun to drive a little more briskly as we're coming out of the running in period. Its not fast, its nippy and the engine seems to suit the car perfectly.

I can't think of a more economic proposition at the cost, with the size. I've found the reversing camera pretty useless as the side mirrors are so good.

I've also fitted a tailored boot liner for £70, carshades at £90 and a Garmin dashcam with OBD adapter at £150 (prime day). Its perfect for what I need and the LED headlights are a nice touch in the dark, I find them so much clearer than the halogen lights on my Jazz.

No regrets at the moment. The next touches will be roof bars as recommended in this thread and a roof box for family days out when we take the dog with us.

What sort of MPG are people getting ?

The 1.3 TCe is getting a genuine 47mpg ( motorway mainly) or so which I am quite impressed with considering its a bit of a big old brick.

Starting to gel with it a bit more, has been getting quite the hammering lately.

Sadly still awaiting Dacia CS to pull their finger out and get the car booked in to get its front wing realigned, has really ruined the whole new car experience frown

My 1.0 gets around 38mpg mainly London commute, nose to tail stuff.

Throw in an 80 mile motorway trip at the weekend and it rises to 44mpg.

Pretty happy as my previous cars did 16mpg and 12mpg in town and were lucky to see 26mpg on a long run.

My Triumph Street Triple only did 30mpg mainly round town so the Duster petrol has impressed me.

During the 'petrol crises' as in couldn't find any as opposed to too fekin expensive, I got 62mpg on a 100 mile mainly motorway journey. Cruise set to 50 and eco on.

My 999cc petrol/lpg gets 29mpg mainly around town in normal (non-eco) mode running exclusively on LPG now. I haven't done many motorway journeys in it.

in 880 miles, i have noticed my exhaust is still clean as a whistle on the inside - why don't more cars use LPG for environmental reasons!

Has anyone had their LPG engined car serviced yet? My Duster is coming up to its first service at 18,000 miles and I've booked it in with a mate who owns a VAT registered garage for warranty preservation purposes. He's also trustworthy and will be substantially cheaper than the main dealer whom I phoned today to request a gas filter, as outlined by the maintenance programme.

The parts chap I spoke to said there were none in stock anywhere in the UK or France, which surprised me as it's a regular service item.

He also surprised me by saying that they'd never serviced a LPG model yet! I can't believe that's true.

He's ordered the part but can't give me any sort of timescale for its arrival.

Has anyone else had this problem before?

No, I’ve had both A and B services carried out and no mention of parts shortage. That’s if they actually did the filter you mention…..I will never know.

Indeed. I remember changing the cabin filter on an old BMW. Absolute bugger to get to, successive garages either didn't know where it was or more likely couldn't be bothered to do it as you had to remove the windscreen wiper arms and other gubbins to get to it (but still charged me, obviously).

When I eventually got to it, it crumbled in my hand it was so old and past it.

Hi all,

Been enjoying my 'throbber' for a while now, and am due a trip to France soon. I'm a bit confused about what adaptor I need for France, has anyone any experience?

Thanks...

I would be keen to know too. It would be handy if no adapter were needed. The fitting on the car must be right for somewhere.

I would be surprised if Tinley Tech don’t have the filters, they should be fairly generic items. There will be two filters, liquid and vapour, both easy to change.

It’s not like a fitting though is it? It’s just an M10 threaded hole unless mainland Europe just screws in which I doubt. Lots of multi adaptor kits on the internet.

That seems really good.

I'm getting 38-42, same engine.

Climate on all the time typically at 20 degrees and I'm not afraid to put my foot down but keep within the limits +10% on NSL and Motorways.

Yup its the best bit of the car for me, loosened up nicely in the first few k the gear change is a little less wooden now too.

Be a great little engine in something a bit more dynamic, mid gear shove is quite impressive.

I rang them and the chap wasn't sure what filters Dacia uses. Said if I measure and take pictures of them and send them over he'd be able to identify the correct parts.

Google/YouTube searching of Duster LPG filter location isn't coming up with anything so does anyone here know where to find them?

Re the above, I rang Dacia today who said they still had no idea when the filter might arrive so I asked for the part number and rang Tinley Tech hoping they would be able to provide the appropriate filter based on this information but they couldn't.

In the end I found one in Poland. £7 for the filter with postage double that.

I find it incredible that nobody in the UK sells this (that I could find), let alone that Dacia cannot get hold of a common service item. Still, all sorted now.

If you could post up some good photos of the new filter when it comes, including any marking on it, I do internet detective work to see if there is a cross reference to something more easily available. The gas system is Landi Renzo I think, so hopefully it is just a Dacia/Renault part no. Stuck on one of their commonly available filters.

Our Bi-Fuel Stepway Prestige is delayed due to the gas parts.

Would be nice to know some of the service parts for it so definitely get a few location / filter pics up.
