You've got the perfect recipe there, once you do Spa and enjoy the convenience of driving to and from the track you'll realise that the GT4 is about perfect and booking your next day there.

I would recommend two days at Spa since the weather can be variable, ensuring that a TF Nurburgring day is on either side of the trip.

Great photos!
I was thinking about going to the LoT day right after the 24 hours of spa. Could go down to watch the races and then drive the circuit the next day. I do fancy the two days but Javelin are there in April, that’s no good for me, Opentrack are there in November but that might be a bit of a gamble with the weather?

I am in split minds about a TF Nurburgring day, at least in my own car, I doubt I’d be able to insure it, and I’ve no idea where I’m going round the thing! Maybe head over and do a ring taxi lap? Though I suspect the urge to take my own car round would be too great to resist.

What I should resolve myself to do next year is take more video for the sake of comparison and seeing how I’ve improved with time. But it’s easy to forget to start the go pro, or not want the hassle when you’re there for some fun with your mates.

The Porsche track app is also so close to being perfect but sadly just buggy enough to be annoying, I changed phones and lost all my data which is rather frustrating but it does give you a cool video overlay like this from my first time round Anglesey on a wonderfully quiet track day:

(I can’t get the video to embed? frown)

Hi there,
Great updates on your GT4 track experiences. Both me + my pal both just received our GT4s so your insights were really interesting. We'll be spending a lot of time going around Spa and the Ring throughout this year.... Will keep an eye out for your yellow beast and happy to exchange details/dates if you want to DM me.

On your brakes did you consider the Endless pads route rather than the PFC's?
Cheers,
Andy

Oh hey Andy, sorry I never saw this post. I’ve went down the PFC route, I’m just still waiting for the pads to arrive, I’ve got a new set of front discs to go on and going to replace pads all round. Just be aware the caliper bolts are single use only.

I’m at Spa with lotus on track soon. Very much a pinch yourself moment for me, something I always daydreamed of doing… now I’m doing it! biggrin
