Common as muck - Fiesta ST to M140i
Discussion
That time of year again!
The 140 has been with me for 3 years now and just been through the MOT. A slightly annoying advisory for light misting of oil on one of the rear Brid's shocks and a cut in the tyre on the same corner. The tyres don't have much meat left on them anyway so will be replaced soon and I'll keep an eye on the shock absorber and replace both of the rears when appropriate.
17,000 miles since this time last year, 40,000 since I got it 3 years ago and 67,000 in total.
No faults, no changes to the spec this year - I have however just fitted an Android screen to replace the OEM unit as I'm an Android user and to use Android Auto it is either an MMI box or Android unit in these.
Good points:
"Stage 2+" makes it a genuinely quick car
It is a very capable longer distance machine - I do a 200 mile round trip for work every week/fortnight and increasingly frequent 400 mile round trips to my parents.
There is fun to be had with the combination of power/suspension/diff/gearbox
It does the hatchback thing - dogs and bikes etc
Not so good:
Steering feel/front end is not the best. I consider the M3/4 LCA change quite often, at some point it'll annoy me enough that I'll actually do it.
Although the B58 is relatively speaking good on fuel I do put a lot in!
Not the car's fault but I keep trashing the wheels
