surely the answer is to buy both, one set fitted with winters and then you get the best of both worlds!
The silver would look good, personally i prefer the look of the 2nd set, but the twists would look good in silver too and keep to the original feel?
I agree. I like the wheels it’s on, they’d just just nicer silver with some OE centre caps. The silver would look good, personally i prefer the look of the 2nd set, but the twists would look good in silver too and keep to the original feel?

They’re the best looking 17’s you’ve considered so far.Is the ASBO exhaust an Ebay special one? Toyosport et al? Mine has one. It's a bit strong for me too - especially between 2k - 3k rpm.
I'm a little surprised such a low mileage car has had the standard one replaced, likewise the black alloys added. I'd have thought someone / people precious enough to keep the mileage down would also want to preserve more of the original car's authenticity...but then again it only requires one person with bad taste in its history to change all of that!
The dealer I bought mine from (mid-Covid) said the previous owner had 'spent £1000 on the exhaust' but it was only on the drive home I realised how awful it was. I checked the branding on it and then priced them up on Fleabay brand new for £120!
It was a weird decision given the previous chap had thrown the kitchen sink (around £3500) at the car in terms of IMS replacement, clutch, M030 springs, suspension overhaul etc and then added the worst exhaust possible.

Silly question re: seat position.....it just looks a bit high from the pics.
Is the base fully lowered?
I had a few questions from owners BITD after they had inadvertently raised the seat base and not pushed it back down fully.
If yours is fully down - sucks to not fit, but, if not, put the seat forward, pull the release lever up and push your weight back, compressing the pneumatic spring.......

It was fully down but I've just been out trying it slightly raised which feels bit better. I think because I'm actually getting the bottom of my thigh loaded up the cushion now rather than before where they were completely in the air. Is the base fully lowered?
