Hopefully at some point next month it will get a run down to Duxford to the air museum there.

Resting in Hull while I went for my 2nd Covid jab. Just under 1000 miles since purchase, still really happy with it.

Do you have any plans to change anything on it?
What tyres are on it?
Only thing I plan on changing on it is getting a dash cam installed mainly to protect myself against the idiots on the road. Sorry I can't remember what tyres are on it I will have a look.

Tyres, Landsail on the back and Maxtrek Maximus (or should it be Maximus Maxtrek I'm not sure) on the front, not a brand I had heard of to be honest but there you go

Thanks, I've never had Goodyears before, I tended to buy Avons for my old Fiesta and the blue Focus.

Are you not going to keep catching your left foot heel on that mat as you change gears?

I have to have my mat go right up under the pedals if possible to avoid that issue
I was surprised that the drivers mat doesn't go up behind the pedals but these are designed to fit the Mk3 Focus.

I had no issues catching the drivers floor mat whilst driving to work this morning. It has done about 280 miles on about half a tank of diesel which equates to roughly 47mpg, a mix of town and dual carriageway driving.

I am getting 49-51mpg out of my 2.0 in the Mondeo, does this have that ridiculous eco shift arrow?
Do you mean an arrow telling you to change up or down? Yes it does have one, which I agree is
ridiculous.

What the hell were you doing up at 0445 on a Sunday morning?!?!?! yikes
Been at work since 0415, the first coach for London leaves Hull at 0440 on a Saturday/Sunday. They are double manned as one driver doesn't have enough driving hours to drive from Hull to London and back in a day.

Annoyed with myself though as I misjudged a gap at work and caught the front bumper on an old bus wheel that is at the entrance to one of the car/bus parks, putting a scrape at the bottom of it, so I have ordered some touch in paint to repair it.

Aahhh that would explain it!! smile
Don't beat yourself up about a scrape, nobody's perfect, these things happen!!!
If it had been in the old car it would have bothered me less as there were loads of marks etc on it anyway. That said what's done is done, no point stressing over it, I'll touch up the scratch when the paint comes.

Oh, and I know your pain! On school runs now, and I live an hour away from the yard. 5.15 starts. The only saving grace is I'm generally off in the middle of the day unless my boss decides to schedule other jobs and I'm gone out of the house for 13 hours frown
Thats not too bad then. A lot of our shifts are between 11 and 16 hours long, at least we are paid from start time to finish time unlike local bus where you can be at work 12 hours and get paid 9.

Sorry I'm going off at a tangent again, which I'm good at laugh

My old Focus had the 1.8tdci Lynx engine as in Bobberoo's Estate, very hardy engine. The 1.5tdci in this car is a lot more refined, but to be expected as its a much newer design

Live not too far from Gougane Barra, a lovely part of the world for sure! Work out of Cork City, but luckily my job takes me all over, count myself very lucky.

IMO I wouldn't move back, things have gotten very hard here in the last few years and the grass ain't greener, no way. The lovely part of the world is grand but when you can't afford to buy a house at decent wages something is wrong.

Apologies for the thread derail Eyersey!
No problem, I would love a trip to Ireland at some point, maybe I will get chance to bring the new car across at some point in the next year or two
