Rear brake calipers wire brushed & repainted this morning (only just had time to do them)

Wheels look much better now the calipers have been cleaned & painted thumbup

That looks really good! Can I ask what paint you used on the callipers please?
I’ve got those exact wheels on my F11 and I’ve had them refinished in Ferric grey II, yours look great in the silver. GLWTS.

Cheers

This is what I used (gloss silver):

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MP-Essentials-Motorbike-T...

And used these to apply the paint:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Foam-Brushes-20-Pkg-1-Wid...

They are lovely looking wheels and suit the F01 IMO; shame they never did them as factory spec for the 7'er

Thank you for the links, I need to do my brake callipers. You’re right the 351 wheels the look at home on the 7er.

No worries

I'd highly recommend a few sizes of wire wheel attachments for a corder hammer drill too if you have one; used my Ryobi cordless but no where near as powerful as the plug in one and it makes a huge difference smile

Front calipers seem to be aly (I think) as their corrosion was more white than anything else; the rears are iron/steel as there was plenty of nice orange surface rust biggrin

You'll want plenty of brake cleaner too as the dust goes everywhere!

And yup; glad I went for the 351Ms smile Looked at lots of different 19" OEM alloys but wasn't overly keen on them and then was lucky enough to find a set of the 351Ms very local to me! Glad I looked for them now..!

Good to hear a normal human being finally showed an interest in it!

Are you going to jump into search for a replacement or hang fire?

Hanging on for now pal; too much on with this new job (working for someone else and not me), so can't just drop out and do what I want, when I want etc...

But I've got my watch list, I'll see how they fair over the next few weeks and have a harder think towards the end of the month

It'll be painful to watch them and not be able to do anything about them laugh

Evening.

Yeah looking to go a bit bigger, mrs wants to downsize.

I do enjoy the car. Still brings a smile to my face when I give it some beans against the local boy racers. But feel it’s time for me to go a bit more sensible too. Thinking F11 or E Class wagon with the 7 seats. Got a few cars on shortlist.
