Went out with a friend last night. It was fun following the GT3 looks brilliant from the back. I can’t remember the size of the rears 305 maybe? Like steamrollers!

We stopped at the same car park on the way home a few years ago when I had my GT4.

I will probably sorn it at the end of the month as I can’t see me having the time to use it. Although it is Pistonheads Sunday Service at Morgan next month and it was really good last year.

No real update as I haven’t been using the Lotus in this weather. However I did have it out of the garage last week as I put my A3 inside to replace a wheel bearing. It’s done 208k now. I realise this thread has become more about my A3 and I still haven’t replaced it!

Hoping to get it back out soon and use it this year. Car meets, pistonheads Sunday service and just general driving.

I taxed it in the week. I haven’t checked properly but I did less than 2000 miles last year maybe less than 1500 embarrassingly. That needs to change this year!

Been for a spin today. The noise it makes doesn’t get old, it felt like a rocket ship as I’m used to my diesel a3 and the steering is perfect.

A very nice red F type followed me for a few miles, I saw an Aston mMartin and a F355 today. So the nicer weather is starting to bring the cars out.

The Mrs wants to go out init tonight for tea and I might go a Lotus meet tomorrow if it’s not raining.

Went out again yesterday. Did a fairly local loop. It is booked in for a service in a few weeks. Again I am getting itchy feet about trying something different but I aren’t sure.

Get it driven, you know the itchy feet will go away when you do that..

Tried Lotus Silverstone for a service instead of Bradford yesterday. It was a fairly expensive one especially since I think I have done less than 1900 miles since the last one.

It consisted of oil, oil filter, air filter, brake fluid and sump baffles replaced. Sump baffles make up most of the cost. Why does a car need sump baffles when in standard form it breaks most (if not all I don’t know?) track noise limits! Car ticked over 6k miles on the way and I did enjoy the drive even if conditions weren’t ideal.

It’s out of warranty in September so I am thinking of going to a specialist next year. However if I sell it a full lotus history might be better. Personally I’d prefer to see a specialist history (make of that what you will…) but car buyers are strange! Especially the Lotus type! Haha

You need to drive it more then to spread the cost of the services. I've done 25K in my Evora in a smidge over 2 years! driving

I know! The problem is I do 20k boring motorway miles for work a year and I work shifts sometimes. So lose the spark to just drive for enjoyment. The weather doesn’t help!

I did get up at 6am Sunday morning I thought I’d go for a spin while the roads are quiet. It was raining so I didn’t bother.

Fair play on using your Evora! Is it your daily car?

Each Lotus on the road not only brings immense joy to its owner but also to pretty much anyone even remotely interested in cars who encounters said Lotus (and its owner) on the road.

In less flowery words: you, Sir, are making this (automotive) world a better place wink

Congrats on the new toy, enjoy every moment of ownership. If I had a 410 in my garage I would probably spend most nights in a sleeping bag there just to be close to it nuts
Agree. Surely we all love Lotus.

Wife has an Accord which is the daily - I don't really need a car. WFH or train into London. Evora 25K miles has been made up of completely unnecessary journey's biggrin

That’s impressive Ziggy!l

I had a run out up the Peak District with the Mrs in the week for fish chips. Our favourite chippy has changed though! So we need to find another one now!
