Missed your update over summer. I recently fitted the forge intake kit, as I managed to get it half price, can only hear a slight gruff noises from it.
Your wheels look great, need to do mine at some point. Currently running Z32s wheels.
I have seen a few pictures zc33s on '32s wheels and they suit it quite well. Did you get a chance to fit your RARB and intercooler?Your wheels look great, need to do mine at some point. Currently running Z32s wheels.
As an owner of a ZC32S, I had completely ignored these as being bloated and diluted when they were released.
I also didn’t realise they were this light, and this thread has completely turned my head!
I was think MX5 ND as my SSS replacement but now these have entered the chat.

Sadly no, had to abandon fitting shortly after getting the bumper off, as had to deal with kids.
Took it on a Drive Limits day on Thursday, several spins, lots of hard braking/cornering and a puncture. I'd recommend it as you learn a lot about car control.
I'll service it soon and hopefully get enough time to fit the intercooler and rarb. Oh and a new horn..

Little update time. Not a massive amount has changed. I have done some chassis bracing starting with a c pillar brace. Being a hatchback the rear is a wide open space and quite flexible. Suzuki put some extra welds in the area to address this and I added a Largus c pillar bar from Japan. The benefit of the Largus bar being it does not impede the use of the parcel shelf and comes in matte black so not as blingy as other options. This made a surprising amount of difference. The rear felt better damped and able to handle jarring road defects better. It also gave a slight hint of understeer feel, presumably because the rear suspension was able to do its job a bit better.
Next I fitted some TRD door stabilisers. On initial impression these have a whiff of bullst mod about them, but after quite a bit of research they seemed a sound idea so again got some from Japan.
The idea behind these being that the door hinges are effectively solid with the doors shut but the latches float, the door stabilisers create a wedge at the latch with the door shut so acting as a "brace" along the belt line. I installed one on each of the four doors. Again these gave the car a smoother better damped feeling and the car regained a neutral feeling. It also gives the doors a less tinny feeling when closing.
I then installed the obligatory front upper strut bar from Cusco.
To be honest I did not feel any difference from fitting this. Not being a one piece design it will not be optimal, perhaps the two previous mods had taken up some of the slack already? Does look nice though
Other little things I have done include fitting rigid gearshift cradle and bracket bushes to make the gearshift nice and direct and increase the clicky-clackityness. I changed the gear knob to a more comfortable example from R's Racing Service.
I have undersealed the car twice now using Lanogaurd stuff which seems to work well for the underside but for cavity injection did not seem to apply reliably so I used Bilt Hamber Dynax S50 from there aerosol cans, could not be simpler!
I have succumbed to lowering the car. Generally the suspension is very good but when you are in the mood it can be a little soft. I have chosen to go with Bilstein B6 dampers and Eibach Pro springs. This combination should not lower the car too much but firm it up nicely. I am hoping my chassis bracing efforts will will help the shell not become too crashy with firmer suspension.
To get fitted at the same time are a Cusco mid brace (exhaust tunnel), and Summit S-wave front subframe brace, lower control arm brace and rear axle brace. The subframe and LCA brace should make a decent difference. The rear axle brace less so
I will update again when I get this lot fitted hopefully in a few weeks.

Where did you get them from.
Are they car specific or universal
Ta
The door stabilisers are made by Aisin and come either branded Aisin , TRD or GR (Gazoo Racing).
If your car is Japanese and/or door latches are made by Aisin there is a good chance they will fit. I found an applicability list here.. https://www.aisinaftermarket.jp/en/sports-exterior...
.... there are a couple of differing fitments.
Ordering bits from Japan is kinda expensive and postage can be pretty ridonkulous. Bigger items in particular will be really pricey. I got the door stabilisers from Nengun.com. RHD and blackhawk
being two other sites that will distribute parts from Japan. As I want to keep the Swift for a long time I am prepared for the steep costs to get bits that other wise would be hard to get.
I have found R's Racing Service to be very good to deal with. Being Swift specialists their website is an Aladdin's cave for Suzuki's.
Japanese car blog and parts review sites like cartune.me and minkara.carview can be useful for working out what might be useful before taking the plunge and ordering parts.

Great work on this car OP, really like all the mods you've done. I like these cars but not sure I'd go for a standard one, however if I could get one at this spec I'd be seriously tempted!
Thanks Daniel, I have been reading the thread on your turbo Metro, it sounds like quite a wild thing! Not sure if the economics of it would work out but you could potentially try and have an importer try and source you a pre-modded one from Japan? They are quite a bit cheaper over there but then I guess you have to get it shipped...

Cheers, they do seem to still be relatively unknown by a lot of people.I also didn’t realise they were this light, and this thread has completely turned my head!

A couple of cars ago I had the 1.5 MX5 ND (before the revy ND2 2.0 was out), that was going to be a long term keeper for me but unfortunately my wife (despite loving the car) couldn't get on with it comfortably.
Obviously the MX5 and Swift are quite different cars but are both very worthy I would say. The MX5 perhaps more of an experience and the Swift with more easily extracted potential? As they were released around the same time they featured in comparisions quite often.

Who do you go through for your parts from Japan? Are the shipping cost not a bit salty along with the delivery times!
I do like watching the Japs yt videos to show how much can be done with these cars. Proper cult following.
I have used Nengun.com, R's Racing Service and have tried contacting some parts manufacturers directly and asking if they will ship to the UK, no being the response so far! If there is a part you really want from Japan that you can not find anywhere there are some Japanese sites that you can basically post which part you want and someone in Japan will go out and buy it for you and post it to you with a tidy mark up for themselves! I used one such site to get the c pillar brace, not very cost effective. Small bits that come by air take about a week, if it is by ship then it will be a couple months. As I am sure you know a lot of stuff is available in the UK but there is some tasty stuff that has not made it over here.
Yeh, the Japanese have taken to the car big time!
Nice blue Swift doing some business at Gunsai Touge...

Just re read your thread today. Any info on the shocks and eibach springs? I want exactly the same as you've bought, struggling to find a supplier of the eibach pro springs
This thread is a fountain of knowledge. Rs racing I need to have a decent look at and I've emailed TM Square to see if it's possible for me to do a bundle order into the uk. Really fancy the TM Square aero bits especially the front bumper
Thanks ste
