Great thread, I think you are localish to me. I had my wheels done in satin neodyme last year and I love them. I had the centre caps done in satin black like the 25th anniversary boxster.

Return trip to Plymouth and Cornwall done .

Always surprises me how good this car is at covering long distance , I even got around 27mpg.

I’m gutted I missed the picture opportunity at 120k miles so this is the closest I got :

I always like popping into cheddar gorge if I’m ever near there as it’s a great place to have a look around and drive through the gorge - best part is when exhaust noise echoes all round the gorge .

I have noticed a rattling from the front which is the brake disc heat shield on the front offside brake that’s come loose - something to look at when I service the car in the next few weeks

I ended up with a free weekend so managed to service the car and change the front brake pads

Iv covered 1700 miles in the car in the last week so I wanted it doing sooner than later as iv gone over the 7k mile mark that I always service it by. Iv only gone about 300 miles over so I'm not too fussed.

I went with the usual Millers NT+ 10W 50 and filters etc from Spyder Perfomrnace

The front brake pads were looking pretty low too so I did them at the same time

Here you can see the old vs new brake pads

I attended a local track day at Three sisters in Wigan, Its only a small track so my expectations were low. However, I was pleasantly surprised as it was a really enjoyable track to drive around. There was a good mix of cars, varied from fully restored MK1 Fiesta all the way to a new Lotus Emira (still one of my favourite cars at the moment).

In other news, if your mate buys a 4WD pickuptruck, I don't recommend going green laning after work to see how capable it is - it results in being stuck for ours and being rescued by a landrover

I then spent the weekend changing the front suspension on a E91 335D. The spring had snapped so it was a good excuse to change everything. Im not a BMW guy at all but im a massive fan of the 335D, it can get 50MPG on the motorway and its still quicker than most cars on the road. I think if I end up needing a practical estate then a 335D will be my first choice
