Looking good .. Now I have done 500 miles its going for a rolling road tune up at Ray-tuning at Thruxton next month. Its had a lot of niggles to sort but guess thats just the nature of it. Are you happy with the finish you have managed on the body? how did you do it?

I will be interested to hear what you think of the rolling road. Presumably you have Holley carbs, as do I but in my experience, there are few people with a rolling road who really understand how to set them up.
Regarding the body on my car, the previous owner had spent a fair bit of time polishing. I don’t do any of that. I just wash it every now and again and occasionally use red Brillo pad to ‘re-finish’ and buff out any marks. It is quite nice to leave it a bit unpolished and matte in appearance but it will shine up a bit if you want it to as well.

I had a very large quote from someone to polish mine ... I don't think he wanted to do it really.

I'm focusing this year on getting it running and set up well.

How did you apply the "avon" on the sidewalls?

I'll probably get it painted but brillo pad refinshing does sound appealing!

Its taken some time but now I'm getting it painted ... guardsman blue and should be ready in a week or so.
