These really are lovely bits of kit had a William's 2 in the early 2000s the handling was spot on enough poke to be fun I had a scorpion exhaust and a piper cross filter.Only thing in my case to watch is the rear arches mine blistered and had section cut out with new them sprayed again plus the decals were hard to get back then. The prices on these have gone a bit bonkers like a lot of stuff of late saw one with a lot more mileage than yours up for 29k.Was you in the right place at the right time and grab a steal on it ?.
I bet it sounded nice with that pipe on it! This car seriously is 100% rust free. Yes right place right time. The guy I brought it from brought it new. It still smells brand new inside!

Congratulations, it looks a peach.

The key thing now is not driving it and you should be able to flip it for a tidy profit.

FTFY cool

Fantastic find OP, probably the only things to care for are rubber seal. Engine wise, probably coolant and oil flush will be more than adequate to put it back into pristine conditions.

Just one note, but any specialist will be aware of this: Renault of that era needed a specific coolant, use of non recommended one led to oxidation and leaks from the radiators. Can't say for sure this specific model was also affected, but I'd say so. Better to double-check.

Thanks, good advice. It's just a cool motor. The grey paint on top of the engine is a bit peeled but nothing that can't be done. The paper work for this williams is all there
Including the original sale receipts, plus some williams goodies given with the car like hats jackets and a watch!

Oddly it came from Renault London, but there was a second VLP there when I picked it (new). I hope its now on a private plate rather than dead.

Ps it's great to get williams owners past and present talking and reminiscing. Be nice if guys could dig out some pictures of your williams and upload them.

That’s bloody lovely; these are seriously cool.

What are your plans for it OP? Will it actually see much if any use?

Thanks. Not really sure to be honest at this point in time. What would you do? I'd be worried to take it out on our roads these days. I've got access to a runway for blast if I do decide to get it going.
