Indeed. Nimble enough too.I reckon I'll move to 15" wheels when these tyres are worn. A bit more sidewall should help re comfort
I did two silly things...
1. Buying a 2nd hand Autel code reader (it's ace😃)
2. Applied it to the Clio...
Just the 18(!) Codes showing across all tested systems..
some time was spent clearing them all - thankfully most were "Memory" rather than "Active"
All cleared now. Live data is ace. Even able to test throttle pedal and throttle body - they seem to be working ok.
I'll drive it for a week and see what comes back

Less than 24hrs after booking the hillclimb it has puked out all it's power steering fluid.
High pressure line has exploded - all over the engine bay + dumped it all on the road.
Getting fed up with this now..
need to see if I can source another line - looking like a flexi one may be best bet as opposed to rigid stock one.
Dunno if it will be fixed in time for the climb...

Last time I needed a high pressure hose in a hurry I took the old one to a local pirtek, who made up a replacement same day for £65, which was a lot cheaper than the £250 plus shipping from Japan that Subaru wanted. Less than 24hrs after booking the hillclimb it has puked out all it's power steering fluid.

Clio Stu had fitted the new flexible high pressure power steering line. And a new pressure switch for the rack.
He also found that the oil pressure switch was enfkernaterd
Apparently never seen one as bad
it also got a new rear shock as apparently it was dripping onto his head when he went underneath.
he also sorted another couple of issues.
Collected it, driving lovely. No faults. Brilliant.
Got home, parked up.
2hrs passes
Took it out to go for a walk.
Lovely walk.
Clio now misfiring and occasionally flashing EML.
P0304 Injector 4 misfire.
Also the passenger door external handle has stopped working.
In total it's done 50 miles since being repaired, and now has 2 new faults entirely unrelated to the repair work that was done.
I'm pretty fed up.

He also found that the oil pressure switch was enfkernaterd
Apparently never seen one as bad
it also got a new rear shock as apparently it was dripping onto his head when he went underneath.

Collected it, driving lovely. No faults. Brilliant.
Got home, parked up.

This is just the age these cars are at now unfortunately. Mine does exactly the same thing.
Spent over £700 getting it through its mot a month or so back, within 2 weeks I am getting a clunk where all the bloody work was done on the passenger front and it's always that corner that has problems one after the other.
Been considering moving it on but know I'll regret it. Nothing else comparable for the money nowadays.

Check left mirror before pulling in to the slip lane for the junction.
Traffic car.

The disappointment on the boys face when he saw a 42year old fat bald was palpable.
Good wee night, then headed back to his to get some birthday cookie...

bd, especially as I've done the rear brakes - looks like the pivot at the handbrake lever is the issue.
Got it to the unit today, and had a quick look
Exhaust "leak"
The pipe out the cat has rusted through - fitting a new cat would resolve, except...
The downpipe to cat joint looks ropey too. This uses flanges, so would need to fit a new one to the downpipe,as there is NO WAY I'm attempting to pull the downpipe off!
Additionally, the cat would need the Lambda removed, so I would expect that to be ruined and need a new one.
The sill doesn't look the worst for welding
No doubt that will develop into a bigger job!
Lastly, some good news:
The caliper retaining bolts and the Flexi all loosened off no bother.
I'm away to price up bits..
