I have to say the comfort seats are sublime on a trip like this, i never once had any kind of discomfort anywhere. I’ll say it again it’s not the best specced 5 by any means but the seats were a bit draw when i was looking

Having skipped the F11, I've had an E61, G31 and an F15, and I always make sure they have the comfort seats.

Far an away the best seats I've ever had in a car.

Sadly you can't get them in anything below a 5 series!!

Strange decision by BM, I see the 3 series still as a luxury tourer, it does seem with BM that only bigger is better in a way

Well roughly halfway though the trip and all is well. Yesterday went to a small village called Głużek. Visited a few homes of family / friends. The levels of food and drink at each abode are not to be underestimated

These yoghurt pancakes with apple sauce and icing sugar were knocked up in about 4 minter and were absolutely incredible

topped off with some home made schnapps, lovely.

Very interesting gate materials, rebar and 14? mm nuts, can’t argue with success..

No issues with the car though and continues to be a good steed whilst out here. Although i’ve some all this work to it to future proof it we’ve come to the conclusion that we don’t really need 2 cars. I’ll potentially be putting this up for sale when I get back.

Well packed the car yesterday ready to leave this morning

yes that’s Lurpak, 7 tubs in total. I now also have 12 jars of various pickles and preserves from a family member. I drew a hard line when he (very generously but sternly) tried to give us 40 eggs in a cardboard tray. He’s very proud of his chickens and was having none of my horrified looks and partners pleas of we do not need or want 40 eggs in the boot of the car for a 1,200 mile journey. All of our reservations were batted away with slight annoyance at the thought of us not taking the poultry produce. Thankfully sense prevailed and the eggs are still in Poland.

We’re now in a very weird hotel that has strong Overlook vibes on the side of the 2 in Hannover. We exclusively stay in very cheap hotels during these transit episodes and this one is.. cheap, and weird, very weird.
