Going against the grain here, but I prefer the look with the over-riders.
More chrome is never a bad thing, and it makes it more distinct looking as you don't see these great big lumps of chrome on anything made after 1970 or so.
Agree - at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, a restomod is about balancing the 'resto' and the 'mod' parts - the period look of the car is important to the character of the finished vehicle (unless you want to go for the 'club racer' vibe, then lose the chrome altogether).More chrome is never a bad thing, and it makes it more distinct looking as you don't see these great big lumps of chrome on anything made after 1970 or so.

Weekly pics - ooh yes please
A while ago I got a good deal on a P1800 dashboard (lots of lovely dials rather than a horizontal speedo thing).
We plonked it in the car and realised that it's not a one-for-one swap. The chaps have done a great job of reworking it to make it fit, but the real challenge was how it would interface with the doors. Solution was forthcoming today. Top craftsmen.

Carpathian Grey, it's a Range Rover colour, very dark grey. Bit darker than I originally planned but I'm trying to hold my nerve on the choice.
I think with the nickelised chromework, it should carry it off.
It's a good looking car. Dark grey will show the lines off nicely/enhance the chrome. I think with the nickelised chromework, it should carry it off.

A mate of mine dailied an Amazon for a couple of decades. Not just for trundling round London but for family holidays, camping trips, festivals, all sorts.
He eventually bought something modern only about five years ago and now the Amazon is semi-retired in Sussex. Endearing thing.
Doesn't need the overriders.
