Smart Meter not working.

We had some electrical work done at our house yesterday.

The Electrician had to turn off the power for about 5 minutes.

Our IHD no longer works and simply displays a message 'waiting for connection'.

The signal strength icon is flashing.

The lights on the Electricity Meter are flashing correctly.

The IHD has not been moved. it is connected to the mains.

I have tried turning it off and back on without success.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so how was it fixed?

Yes. Give it week. Then phone supplier.

As temperamental as a.....

You can't say anything without offending something.

How far away from the meter is the IHD?

Try it beside the meter.

This morning it has come back to life!

I will say that Shell Energy were helpful when I contacted them.
