So, I’ve had the car 4 months and only drove it for the first time today ?? Combination of work, kids and having the car in bits, has led to that.

Love the analogue feeling of this car and is great to flick through the gearbox on a country road. It’s not as rapid as my old cars and a bit more fragile, so I’m not too fussed about tracking it for now

Fragile !!!!!!!!!
I hope not. I thrash the tits off mine every single time I get in it and it’s never really put a foot wrong. Yes it’s light and agile but definitely not fragile. Mine bounces off the limiter, pops and bangs, slides around, does great donuts and will rev out in top gear. It’s great on track as well.
Quick gratuitous video of me on the Sloc hill climb course in the Isle of Man. Closed road obvs.

Nice to see it actually being used dude! I never found it fragile as such just a little too compromised with that gearbox for anything bar a lovely road car and classic.

Still looks absolutely mega though!

Cheers Joe. Loving it. I just need to set aside some proper time to go and enjoy it on the right roads

I have had it for well over 10years and it has slowly evolved over that time. It’s got all the normal mods that you can do to the engine whilst keeping the VVC and the std pistons. So polished ported head, bigger throttle body and cold air intake, 4 to 2 exhaust manifold with Janspeed stainless system, Emerald ECU, lightweight flywheel, and damper, competition clutch, upgraded aluminum rad. All in about 150bhp at the wheels and the revs are capped at 7500. The box is standard close ratio with a Quaife ATB diff. Usual suspension mods, later wishbones, bilstein shocks, stronger toe links, updated discs and pads.
In that video I was still on the MEMS ECU, I only went over to the Emerald system just after that. It’s easier to optimize the tune on the Emerald although it does take a long time on the rolling road. Pops great flames out of the exhaust now smile

Lovely spec! I think the quaife ATB diff is the way to go, especially after my Caterham

Another ‘little’ job, which turned out to be a pain in the arse to do

The fasteners on the diffuser and undertray had seen better days, so I decided everything underneath with quick release items which I got from speedy fasteners.
