This arrived too for my downstairs bog. It replaces the Clio V6 poster that is now the border laugh

Probably needs a better frame so I'll keep my eye out for a better one

What a stunning looking car cool and it has to be in that colour!

The Larini sistek will sound amazing! Even the standard exhaust has some presence.

Great looking car and nice clean lines, not over designed like the newer ones.

Thanks both, I admit I do love the shape. I don't think it has a bad angle in it!

Anyway, got the plates fitted so as to avoid a fine

I'm sad, I know.

the Larini cats have been delivered ready for fitting next year

Ouch. Turns out the car needs some new exhaust clamps at, and I st you not, £2.5K. It also needs an oil filter housing gasket at, again I st you not, £800.

Anyway, it's all getting done and JM Imports really know their stuff. They've some seriously impressive customer (and owners) cars there!

Some photos they sent me

Should get it back in about 6 weeks which gives me time to save up to pay for it all.

Christ alive, being quoted that much for exhaust clamps would have had me furiously Googling for alternatives. In fact, assuming these are the equivalent of what you're buying...

Stunning car though, love it!

They are just £25 V band Clamps though!!

Even Hill Engineering make billet ones for £110 each.

The mark up in genuine parts is insane.

Can't they source alternatives? What about going to an exhaust specialist?

I hate to be an armchair specialist and question a company's work but the price for those clamps seems absolutely insane. A quick google seems to suggest you can pick up bespoke billet ones for a third of the price of those each.

Would love to know what exactly makes those so expensive (apart from being from Lambo).

The only reason they're that price is because they're from Lamborghini.

The Hill Engineering ones have a 5-6 lead time unfortunately!

It's one reason I haven't clicked the go button on one... yet. I can easily buy one tomorrow but the insurance would be about £1800 (I object to paying that much for insurance!), the tax is £695 (I know it's not much but I object to paying it!) and then you have to factor £5k a year to keep it running!

It makes my old Porsche feel cheap to run and that's given me some entertaining bills in the last 18 months.

I've even managed to man-maths my head into going for the LP model to avoid the cat ingestion issue. silly

If you can easily afford one somethings are worth more than money! If you want one get one I say! Life’s too short enjoy it. Even if you only have one for 12 months and move it on you have tried one. Like someone else said on here you need to pay to play!

Don’t disagree but as these era Gallardos get older and needing £5k services each time it starts to make Huracans more attractive. Assuming the Huracan is a decade or so younger I can imagine the difference in service costs would make the purchase price gap narrower if you are keeping the car a few years.

One "problem" is that I don't want to get rid of the Porsche as I really still enjoy driving it. And no, I defo can't afford to fit both cars on the drive nor would my wallet like it.

I officially hate you. hehe

<fires up Windows Calculator>

Edit: "sadly", the numbers don't work for me. I'd be better off getting the cheapest possible pre-LP and hoping the cat's fine, and just suck up the £5k per year servicing bill for a couple of years.
