For some reason I thought it was a manual car! Maybe that's why I didn't look too much at the Fleet one.
Do let us know how you get on with the e-gear when you've had a good drive in it.
How far does it rev up the range/slip when engaging 1st gear? I understand that's an indication of clutch life?
Really cool OP, life is too short. Had a go in a manual one on one of those experience days back when they were new, obvs had an instructor next to me telling me to brake and shift up way too early to protect its consumables (really spoils it tbf) but the noise of the thing left a lasting impression. Honestly, thanks everyone for the messages. It's a dream come true really, and I don't think it will ever sink in! Regarding the clutch, I've not felt any slippage at all - next year I'm going to factor in a clutch and flywheen change (£4K) anyway, but I'll get a clutch life check done anyway. It was changed less than 10K miles ago and judging by the condition of the car, it's had a very easy life. I certainly won't be changing that!
Took it to a local car show (hello to the Porsche owner I parked next to who recognised the car from here!) yesterday for a bit of a day out with me Dad.
For anyone thinking about getting one of these, do it. They're more affordable than you probably think as long as you do your research. I don't particularly have a well paid job, but at the grand old age of 40 I thought it was an opportunity not to be missed.
Weather permitting this weekend, I'll be giving it a good wash and polish.

Quite spooky that I took a similar path a few years ago, a Renaultsport to a Gallardo. Not a V6, but an R26.. for very similar reasons!
The reason I feel it's spooky as the number plates are very similar..

TBF £4k every couple of years isn't a terrible thing on such a special car.You can apparently guage how much clutch there is left: start off stationary, engage first gear, drive off and see how high it revs before it moves. It should hit 1500rpm. It's something like every 100rpm above that is 20% clutch life down.
Another thing to remember - change the cats to a Larini pair to avoid having to rebuild the engine.
