I think the whole car vibrating is a very rare occurrence (from reading other threads), I think I have experienced it once or twice in 3k miles when I've thought "hmmm something feels a bit odd" but not much more than that. Nothing that would make me slow down or particularly worry.

But I have driven lots of cars, a lot of which were old and broken. Maybe if I had never driven anything but brand new cars I might feel differently, really not sure
Yes, there seems to be a fairly wide range of severity. I’ll re-phrase, I don’t think they could cause the car to vibrate in any way shape or form, never mind in the extreme way that some people have experienced.

Mine has a barely perceptible vibration at certain speeds, but I’m not convinced it’s the ‘big’ issue others are suffering and may just be poorly balanced wheels (everyone on the MG4 who has had them checked has said they were poor from the factory)

It’s not even close to being bad enough to complain to the dealer about, and it wouldn’t particularly bother me if it never got better. I am tempted to go get all the wheels balanced though just to see if it goes away completely.

I had an MG4 EV on rental last week and im going to write up about the EV experience on a separate post.

I have been tempted to look at the price of these and seems too good to be true based on performance/quality of build on the one we had.

It had one done a 1000 miles though and im sure it'll end up rather differently eventually.

I noticed its traction in the rain wasn't brilliant (had conti's on it).

How long are charges taking for you OP? We sat around for a good bloody hour nearly for a full charge on the French 300W charging.

I've only charged once in the wild and got 95kw ISH so should be 30mins or so but I don't know how much that would drop off over time.
Out of interest to what % were you trying to charge as charging rates drop off the closer you get to 100%....

Apologies for thread diversion. I had a Duster then Chocolatefrog got on.I then got an MG4 Trophy and CF got his MG XPower. So CF behold your next car. You will of course though get the Brabus.

My two are staying for the foreseeable.

There's a couple of those Smarts in the work carpark. There's no parking them nose first into the kerb these days.

Someone suggested the vibration was from the brake covers as they're not rigidly mounted.

Sounds plausible although I have my doubts.

Anyone removed them?

You're probably right, would be easy to check.

They are pretty floppy though.

Someone shared that FB post on one of the MG forums. A person who removed the covers for painting confirmed that vibrations were identical without the covers being fitted at all.

The MG4 can 'only' charge at between 117 and 135kW in optimum conditions, and the charge curve will slow off at the end. You'd be better off on a 10/20% - 80-90% charge and moving on but there's lots of factors that can affect the actual speed.

This will be why then, I had 81% in it from collection and wondered why.

Charge dropped off to 16kW after 80%.

I don't recall seeing 100kw odd figures on the 300kW charger I was on in Carrefour.

Always a stupid idea in my view. Most the UKs drivers have seemingly lost the ability to even reverse into a space. When I see it done I want to hand the driver a certificate of achievement. But yes they have given up seemingly and gone mainstream in scale. Such a nice car though and build is exceptional in my eyes. There are very nice engineered in and design details that I spot on a daily basis. v pleased with it. Done 1100 miles in 2 weeks!

Mg4 comes in 3 trims I think, se, trophy and x-power. Not 100% but I think se doesn't come with the camera....

Realised why I only get 2-2.2 mpkwh.

I rarely drive in rush hour traffic but I did yesterday. Commute was 46 mins instead of 23 mins and I got over 3.

Once in 3 months was enough to remind me how much I hate office hrs.

I'm still enjoying mine after 800 miles. Lack of range is a bit annoying, 60 miles per day means i try to charge every other day at work.

No real issues yet, although i am getting squeaky brakes. I think the problem is that they just dont get used on my commute and deposits are building up without getting burnt off. I generally have to stamp on the brakes heavily during each journey to make sure they don't make any noise.

I've also had a couple of times where the car forgets my phone connection and i have to rejoin. again annoying but nothing major.

Oh and the exterior plastics are some of the softest i've ever come across. the piano black rear quarter trim and the rear lights have got significant swirls already and i've not even washed it yet.
