It most certainly does. I haven't driven it hard yet - because of running in, and because the roads are slippery - but it's definitely a better sound than the sports exhaust on my previous 720s.

I'd love to see the sun...

It has a lot of metallic in it, but is I think a deeper blue than Estoril, although I'm not a BMW guy. I will try to get some shots if the sun ever comes out while I'm in the same country as the car.

I'm sorry to ask, perhaps it's the camera angle, but is the rear plate on straight...?

It's the angle. I wasn't square on to the back of the car when I took the shot. You can't really muck up the rear plate on a P14. The front, on the other hand... Ask me how I know.
