Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde (Launch edition)
Discussion
Well I've joined the red Giulietta gang today, only a 1.4 150 "Speciale" but the 150/170 both map upto the same power anyway... it also very importantly has the big bucket seats!!!
I've never miss badged a car before (always been quite anti it) but I really want to fit Quadrifolgio Verde side badges (the clover leafs)

Congratulations on the purchase and in Red as well, great engine that, and like you said, a remap away to 170. I've never miss badged a car before (always been quite anti it) but I really want to fit Quadrifolgio Verde side badges (the clover leafs)
The seats are lovely, comfortable and supportive in the
corners as well.
Also, I would up ahead with the badges, really adds something to the front wings
When do you collect?

Got it already, it was "prepped" for sale, including a flat battery, so they have fitted a new one. The seats are lovely, comfortable and supportive in the

Its not perfect, wheels need refurb, needs a going over with some cutting compound, polish and wax.Interior looks mint though.
Its also got a squeak from the front drivers side suspension, but I bought a 6 month warranty with it so going to claim on that Monday and see if its worth the paper its written on, might take it to Autolusso and get them to give it a look over.

They are great fun,
Do you have any pics?
I'm going to do a proper thread in a bit, I was going to add it to my Volvo/Smart/Triumph one but decided to give it, its own thread.
I have purchased a yellow OBD cable for it so I can reset the service light (they have serviced it but not done the light). As it turns out AlfaOBD app and a bluetooth dongle isn't enough, you need the yellow cable as well.
Here is the front end, I need to either chop the bottom of the plates off or put black vinyl over them, I think the black at the bottom of the bumper is factory.

I think it's definitely worth starting its own readers cars
Looks lovely! Bet your thrilled with it, I really like the added black on the bumpers too.
Ah yes, my plate was similar, I replaced it in the end, annoyingly there's a raised bit of plastic from the bumper behind the plinth.

Need to switch the headlights asap as well, my previous daily (2010 Smart) had projector headlamps, I tried LED bulbs in them but the light was poor so fitted HID kit in the end.
Agreed there, the stock headlights are not great. I do have the LEDs in now, although I've not tried them in the dark so far..Looking online , there is a way to change the bulbs without removing the bumper.
If your on Facebook, have a look for Giulietta Enthusiasts, that's been really helpful, friendly group of members too.
My thread is up

not much on it so far need to take some pics, auto fold wasn't an option unfortunately. You can buy aftermarket kits to do it though.

I may have gone a bit mad, but recently, I've realised the Facelift grille goes with the Facelift front end of the Giulietta, and this being the LE, I wanted it to take it back to original,
The 2013 mid facelift grilles seem quite hard to come by, these have the anthracite slats, instead of shadow chrome of the standard. New, I was quoted £240, but I managed to get one on the Giulietta FB page for £40, there is a tiny mark in one of the slats, this can easily be touched up though.
Off came the bumper again!! It was much quicker this time,
I also wanted to put some original Clover leaf badges on the side, they're aluminium instead of white of the aftermarket ones I bought, also a bit smaller, I fitted these as well
I am pleased with the results, I quite like the fact that the grille is slightly smaller, also that's it's back as it was out of the factor(apart from the exhaust.....)
The car has recently asked for an oil change, I've looked through the history, it has had a service recently, but an oil change wasn't mentioned, I'll get it done just incase, so it's all up to date.

I've been having a look at these, they look good value, and a LSD plus a remap isn't a huge amount of money.
How are they for space in the back? My eldest son is 6'2" and growing so some rear leg room is a priority.
They do seem great value compared to alternatives. How are they for space in the back? My eldest son is 6'2" and growing so some rear leg room is a priority.
A Celtic remap should take it to 294hp which should be more than enough, and higher redline, although I'm not sure now the E Q2 diff would manage. It has quite a bit of torque steer as it is, although it's quite fun. They can also map the gearbox for faster changes.
Space wise, if could be better, and with the sports seats, leg room is slightly reduced. We have the 4 year old and a car seat in the back, and it's fine, although the rear facing for the younger one is a squeeze.
