I'm restoring this old thirsty girl.
It cost me £1 from my father in law.
At 25 it's frustrating finding insurance!

I would have thought that one would qualify for classic car insurance for a 25 year old driver.

You have to tell us in all honesty which is/was the most fun?

I came close to a Turbo 2 but opted for the Dec Tomaso instead at similar money.

I bought the Turbo 2 back in 1994 and kept it until 2008, so it's the one I owned by far the longest. I got back every penny I spent on it, but sold it just before they shot up in value. In fact. pretty much the same could be said for all the other cars pictured! (Apart from the last one which I still own).

Much as I loved my Turbo 2, I just don't see any value in them as 80 grand cars, having paid 7 grand for mine!

All the cars shown are/were brilliant to drive. They cover a 30 year period of performance car development, so are difficult to compare directly. For example the brakes on the Turbo 2 and Integrale are rubbish by modern standards.

But if I had to only pick one out of my back catalogue for a proper B-road fun thrash, it would be the 22B. It's old enough to be involving, but new enough to be reliable, comfortable and yet still keep modern cars at bay with its awesome performance, balance and road-holding.

You're lucky to have owned a 22B. They're stupidly expensive nowadays - saw one for sale for £99,999 the other day!! Unfortunately I was too young to own one when they were accessible...

Caterham Superlight, no paint as it added 3kg. The spare wheel carrier and spare wheel was not on the options list and was classed as special order adding 22.5 kg.
