Not in the car yet unfortunately. Hillman Avenger Turbo project.

That sounds like my sort of project - tell me more please..........
It's my long suffering and expensive project, all done by either myself or my father.

It's a 1600 with machined pistons to reduce the compression ratio to 8.5:1. The bottom end has then been lightened and meticulously balanced before being dynamically balanced.

The turbo is a Cosworth spec (50 trim) T3 mounted on a modified (minnowfish I think) manifold. The inlet manifold is made from scratch in aluminium and took disgracefully long to make. It mates a set of Lotus esprit throttle bodies to the big valve head, and also has bosses to mount fuel injectors. A fuel rail was also fabricated. Ignition and fuelling will be controlled with a megasquirt ecu.

It's currently waiting for a couple of bits and pieces to be done, and for the car to get an MOT.

Here's a few more pictures.

Manifold, from this:

Via a lot of this:

I apologise for the grubbiness, but it's comming out over winter.

I want more power... biggrin
