Hi there,

Im newbie so please be gentle. I have known of this site/forum for a while and thought it was time i signed up.

My main car, is a 07 335d. Bought brand new by my father in march 2007. i had the use of thus vehicle as my own since brand new, but officially bought it off him in december.

She is a great car.

Here is some pics!

DAY ONE, with 5 miles on the clock being picked up from the dealers

Went to Santa Pod a month later to see what she could do.

Did a 13.9@102mph, but firmly believe the car is capable of a mid 13 stock.

Not my house lol

Back to the pod in august. Conditions not so good,

I went to Snetterton and guess who was testing?

At a BMWland/evotechnik meet!

Rolling Road graph.

A 335i made 322bhp. On the road between my friends stock 335i and my stock 335d there is absolutely nothing in it.

Here she is in action

Right enough of my motor.

Im a right car enthusiast, always have been. Im only young and only been driving since 2001 so havent had many cars.

Into Motor racing heavily and used to race karts myself.

I would like to meet a few of you this year at any meets which may be arranged.

From the pics you can see i have no mods as of yet. The only mods i will definately do is Re-map (and hopefully get a very low 13 second pass or a high 12 at the Pod)

and maybe some lowering springs? what do you think?

Im also into my fords, not as much as i used to be but have had a Fiesta RS Turbo for nearly four years, but she has been in storage for a year and a half now.

Thanks for taking time to read my post and check out my pics.

Any comments welcome.

Carlos

Hi Carlos, welcome to PH! wavey

You're lucky to have such a nice motor, the new 3 Series Coupe is really growing on me, though I still think I'll stick to my classic BMW's.

My dad bought me my first motor, a 500 quid Peugeot 309 GE, 1.1 litres, 4 speed and 55 bhp of sheer fun! I loved it, nowt wrong with having somthing a wee bit pokier. What's the insurance like on one of these for you?

Don't mind the PH ribbing, it's just our way.

smile

310bhp & 450lb/ft of torque!!!!!

I never knew the 335d's were that potent, is'nt that 30bhp over quoted figures?
Anyway, very nice mate

Hi guys, regarding the RS4. Prob mid-range i could live with one anyway, and after a re-map pull past. This is what i have heard from friends with re-mapped ones. I am not into 4WD as it kills so much power once rolling. Power sapper comes to mind, dont get me wrong its a beast on the bends, but RWD and its lethalness is for me. The 335d, well the New E92 in general is a fine handling bit of kit.

286bhp is the standard figure, mine made 310bhp. Two other 335d on the same rollers the same day made 300bhp. Mine had more miles hence the higher figure.

Ten Bmw's ran on the ''Dyno Dynamics'' rolling road that day and several made UNDER the factory quoted output. Thus i very much doubt the rollers over read.

A stock 335i made 322bhp and this is what most 335i make stock anyway (from loads that have been roaded) so i think the dyno was pretty accurate. In fact most people report that the dyno dynamic ones under read.

It is a quick car, and i have friends with E46 M3's and it will live with them all day long. After a re-map she should be even more potent.

Yes ive had the car as mine from new, (father initially bought it, and i adopted it) anyway but in the end it was only fair i bought the car.

I dont know how you quote people on here? (i can other forums and it makes it easier to reply to people individually, any help???)

To the person asking my age, i was 24 last month. Look young tho so i dont mind getting old.

Right my old beast, which is in storage at the moment, The Fiesta RS Turbo.

Had about 6 fiestas in all, 2 x xr2i (once heavily modded with a stage 2 engine etc) the other i drove once. The main one was my RST, bought her in feb 04. She is stock outside (the best way i think) and engine is heavily modified with a 1.8zvh ( Zetec 1800 bottom end, and the 1.6cvh 8v head) conversion.

Other parts are Low Comp Pistons, lightened and Balanced Bottom end and ported and flowed head with a kent cam (cant remember which one now?) with solid lifters.

she has a cossie fuel pump fitted and beige injectors and also a hybrid T25 Garrat turbo fed cold air by a Pace Intercooler.

She made 210bhp at 14.5 psi and she when i last drove her running 17psi so i make an estimate of 230bhp with very similar torque.

Of course you could not have all this power going thru a stock FRST. So she was lowered on some springs (cant remember what ones, remember i havent driven for for 18 months or so)and has uprated EBC brakes with red stuff pads. A quick shift had also been fitted.

She had a full stereo with a 15" sub residing in the boot. i loved the car, she was very quick weighing just under a ton also.

She has FSH all Mots from new and ££££££ of paperwork, i looked at many before deciding she weas the best one. Currently she is in storage as i have mentioned, due to a boost pipe coming off and boost going off the gauge and damaging cylinder number one. Then the 335d turned up and she took a back step. Lovely car tho.

I would say from a rolling start 40-maybe 110mph the RST would live with the stock 335d but after that the BMW would walk away, she is just sooo long legged. (indicated 100mph on the 335d = 2.5k rpm in 6th)

Jay, nice to speak to you on here lol, even tho i see you most days.. haha. Yes i know your convinced mate. Get that SEAT mate!!

Very nice FRST, can I ask why you went for the 1.8 block & not 2.0?
210bhp @ 14.5psi is very healthy, what pistons did you run? I would'nt fancy putting 17psi through standard ones!

ETA
Do'h! just re read it...low comp!

Nice lightweight in the back ground!
