Getting this at the weekend. My mate Davie was over at my house last week and I showed
him wee greeny and told him it was for sale, he said do you want
swap..... so today he came back with his wife and a deal was done.
So here are some pictures of the new addition to the family.
I get this

And he take's this

That Traveller (it is a traveller, right) looks in amazing condition! Not sure which I'd rather have though...

When you said he came back with his wife I hesitated before scrolling down as I'm in the office...

That looks lovely though, standard 998?

Both of those cars are gorgeous; never owned either type of mini, and was always envious of the few lads at sixth form who had them back in the 80s.

And much MUCH better looking than the current abominations that have come out of BMW.

I'm saving up for a mini atm, and that has just spurred me to scrimp some mor!! Ultimate would have to a BRG Cooper 2175 with the sports arches, 13inch deep dish wheels and spot lights........much like the one you have traded in fact!! Can you put the wheels, arches etc. on an older mini (circa 80-90) and update the look?? I only ask because later ones are a bit out of my price range, but an earlier one with all the bits would be just as nice.

Nice motor! Is it a Countryman or a Traveller?

Still miss my first car - a knackered old Mayfair in metallic pinky wine colour. The subframe went so badly the rears would move over an inch to the side in spirited cornering and rub on the arches. And the synchro was gone on 2nd. And it wouldn't start after the sun went down or before it came up. Happy days.

I'd love an old mini on wide 10's with 1 1.4 K-series or something in it. The 12s don't do it for me quite as much although the later interiors are nice and plush.

Btw where do you live, Scottish grinnal? Looks nice. I'm in Fife, not far from St Andrews. Keep scanning the ads for an old mini pick-up...

Both of those minis look really cool, I prefer the green one though as I prefer the looks.

All three of those Minis look in great condition and I think you've done a good job with the swap. I'd quite like one myself.

Time to get saving!
