from personal experience, depending on mileage, for one this beautiful you are probably looking at around 3 - 5 thousand maybe? I have seen ones with under a thousand mileage go for well over 6.
However, I do feel the best thing about a beetle is buying one with a good body for 1 or 2 thousand and then doing it up yourself. The satisfaction level is absolutely unreal, plus you learn the ins and outs of the car and it becomes secon nature.
still, go for it sir!

I'd be looking for £5k at least if I was to ever sell it due to it being rot free etc.
My son used to have a red 1500 in tip top condition, we spent around a 1000 including the car. The guy who now has it quite honestly had an aston martin, he says he gets more women talking to him with the bug, which says a lot, if that's your thing. They can be made pretty quick too, if you have the money to do so. The stock 1500 reached about 98 top end.
however, it is always worth searching for a bargain. A garage or barn find that is free (or close to it) of rot. The 1500 we got for 150 quid with a genuine 400 miles on the clock with a FSH. It was used for shows only and trailered.
In the end we sold her for 8.5k, not bad for a bug!!
It was great fun to drive to, no mod cons, just the windows open in the middle of summer with the engine rumbling away in the back - BLISSS!
