Hi All

Been on the forum for some time now admiring everyones cars and the friendly banter and thought it was about time i showed my car.

I got it about 3 months ago and its a peach, full history folder with everything from the original bill of sale and brochure as well as every part and sundry item receipt.

Future plans are to take it on a few track days and eventually get it too the ring as well as use it as my everyday driver, i am getting the wheels refurbished in gold paint and having the lips diamond cut next week and i am also after some schroth harnesses.

Looks to be in fantastic condition and very original. Keep it mate, its one of those cars you'd regret selling.

it is black and i think i would regret selling it so i think it may be here to stay and a few laps of the ring

I've got to say I prefer the Bbig bumper models as they look chunkier, however the small bumpers will be better suited for a ring trip as they incorporate brake cooling ducts, which the big bumpers do not have. Being a G reg, I'm guessing you have the optimal setup of 256mm discs and cooling ducts? It's the preffered choice of car for the GTI championship for this reason. Otherwise it's cool running feeble brakes or strong overheating ones!

Thats ace, a mate of mine has a black skinny bumper 16v - lowered on bbs alloys = job done!

grey leather is quite unusual, it maybe from a mk3 golf!

are you planning on keeping it stock or mildly modified,to me it looks like a keeper. please dont put big bumpers on it.

That's a cracking looking Golf. I say keep it, look after it and keep it standard. There are so few good ones left that minters are best left alone and looked after. Good ones will only go up in value.

What can one say, a pristine example of such a classic hot hatch dude its out of its face clean. Still on the fence as to the bumpers tho, i got a big bumper mk2 GTi in black and i like it but yours looks sweet with the factory bumpers prob best the way it is. But big up your car man its the nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good toy and welcome to the clubwink

I get annoyed with mine sometimes, but don't think I could ever bring myself to sell it!

Cheers for all the kind words.

after having a big bumper i am definitely a convert to the small bumpers.

the leather is spec'd on the original bill or receipt when it first left the dealership.

i have just got back from a audi inspired trip and purchased these: only 8.5kg direct bore and only need a re pitch and insert and job done.

Also not in major need but will be having a refurb any ideas on what finishes to go for?

Ps: please ignore the weighing scales and the weeds!

Ben
